تستعد مصر لاستضافة مناورات «النجم الساطع 2025»، أحد أكبر التدريبات العسكرية في الشرق الأوسط، في الفترة من 28 أغسطس إلى 10 سبتمبر، بقاعدة محمد نجيب العسكرية شمال غرب البلاد.
وتشهد مناورات «النجم الساطع 2025» في نسختها التاسعة عشرة، مشاركة واسعة تضم أكثر من 7900 جندي من 13 دولة، إلى جانب 30 دولة أخرى تشارك بصفة مراقب، ما يعكس الأهمية الإستراتيجية لهذا الحدث العسكري الدولي.
وبدأت مناورات «النجم الساطع» عام 1980، عقب توقيع معاهدة السلام بين مصر وإسرائيل عام 1979، بهدف تعزيز التعاون العسكري بين مصر والولايات المتحدة، وتطورت لتصبح حدثًا دوريًا يُعقد كل عامين، لتصبح منصة لتبادل الخبرات العسكرية وتعزيز التنسيق بين الدول المشاركة، مع التركيز على التدريبات البرية والبحرية والجوية، إضافة إلى عمليات القوات الخاصة.
وتأتي نسخة 2025 في سياق إقليمي معقد، إذ تسعى الدول المشاركة إلى تعزيز قدراتها في مواجهة التحديات الأمنية، بما في ذلك مكافحة الإرهاب وتأمين الاستقرار الإقليمي، وتشمل المناورات سيناريوهات قتالية متنوعة تهدف إلى تعزيز الجاهزية العسكرية والتنسيق المشترك بين القوات المشاركة.
Egypt is preparing to host the "Bright Star 2025" exercises, one of the largest military drills in the Middle East, from August 28 to September 10, at the Mohamed Naguib Military Base in the northwest of the country.
The "Bright Star 2025" exercises, in their nineteenth edition, will witness wide participation with more than 7,900 soldiers from 13 countries, along with 30 other countries participating as observers, reflecting the strategic importance of this international military event.
The "Bright Star" exercises began in 1980, following the signing of the peace treaty between Egypt and Israel in 1979, aimed at enhancing military cooperation between Egypt and the United States. They have evolved into a biennial event, becoming a platform for exchanging military experiences and enhancing coordination among participating countries, with a focus on land, naval, and air training, in addition to special forces operations.
The 2025 edition comes in a complex regional context, as participating countries seek to enhance their capabilities in facing security challenges, including counter-terrorism and securing regional stability. The exercises will include various combat scenarios aimed at enhancing military readiness and joint coordination among the participating forces.
