أُصيب 3 أشخاص بجروح اليوم (السبت) إثر إطلاق نار في ساحة تايمز سكوير في مدينة نيويورك الأمريكية، بحسب صحيفة «ذا اندبندنت» البريطانية.
وبين تقرير الوكالة، نقلاً عن الشرطة، أنه تم احتجاز شخص واحد ويجري استجوابه بشأن إطلاق النار، مضيفةً أنه لم يتم توجيه أي اتهامات حتى الآن.
وقال متحدث باسم شرطة نيويورك إن رجلًا يبلغ من العمر 65 عامًا وآخر يبلغ من العمر 19 عامًا أُصيبا بطلقات نارية، كما أُصيبت امرأة تبلغ من العمر 18 عامًا بجرح قطعي في الرقبة بعد تصاعد نزاع بين شخصين.
وأُلقي القبض على مشتبه به في موقع الحادثة. وذكرت صحيفة «ذا صن» أنه سُمع إطلاق نار الساعة 1:20 صباحًا بعد «تصاعد شجار كلامي بين شخصين».
وأوضح متحدث باسم الشرطة للصحيفة: «تم نقل الجميع إلى مستشفى بيلفيو، وحالتهم مستقرة».
Three people were injured today (Saturday) following a shooting in Times Square in New York City, according to the British newspaper "The Independent."
A report from the agency, citing the police, stated that one person has been detained and is being questioned regarding the shooting, adding that no charges have been filed yet.
A spokesperson for the New York Police Department said that a 65-year-old man and a 19-year-old man were shot, while an 18-year-old woman sustained a laceration to her neck after a dispute escalated between two individuals.
A suspect was arrested at the scene. The Sun reported that gunfire was heard at 1:20 AM after "a verbal altercation between two people" escalated.
A police spokesperson told the newspaper: "Everyone was transported to Bellevue Hospital, and their conditions are stable."
