The Palestinian Vice President Hussein Sheikh warned today (Tuesday) that Israeli threats to occupy the entire Gaza Strip herald new massacres, emphasizing the rejection of forced displacement.
Sheikh, who also holds the position of Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, stated that the recent Israeli threat to occupy all of Gaza warns of more collective massacres that the occupation army will commit, calling on the international community to assume its moral and humanitarian responsibilities in protecting the Palestinian people from crimes committed against them by Israel.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has hinted at expanding the war and occupying the entire devastated Palestinian territory, according to his government sources.
On the other hand, Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa confirmed that Israel does not want to see a Palestinian state and is fighting the people through killing, destruction, and economic blockade, stressing the necessity of confronting this.
Mustafa emphasized during his speech at the opening of the weekly Cabinet meeting the importance of the outcomes of the international conference to embody the Palestinian state in New York a few days ago, with the participation of representatives from 128 countries and international institutions, considering it a pivotal moment that led to subsequent communications from many countries with the president, announcing their intention to recognize the State of Palestine during the upcoming United Nations General Assembly meetings in September. He added: Day by day, the world's conviction grows that there is no alternative to embodying the Palestinian state as a radical solution to the conflict in the region, and that the delay in enforcing the international will to implement hundreds of international and legal resolutions, along with Israel's continued impunity, has led to what the Palestinians are facing today in terms of killing, starvation, and displacement.
