هاجم منتدى عائلات الرهائن الإسرائيليين المحتجزين في قطاع غزة اليوم (الإثنين) الحكومة الإسرائيلية، مؤكداً أنها تعمدت إحباط أي صفقة لإنقاذ الأسرى وسعت لتضليل الجمهور، رغم إمكانية إعادتهم.
وأوضح المنتدى في بيان أنه كان بالإمكان التوصل إلى اتفاق شامل لإعادة الرهائن، وهو أمر ثابت لا لبس فيه، لكن الحكومة تعمدت وبقصد مبيت إحباط صفقات إنقاذ الرهائن، بينما كانت تضلل الجمهور، رغم أن كبار المسؤولين الأمنيين قدموا للحكومة مراراً وتكراراً خيارات قابلة للتطبيق، من شأنها أن تسمح بإعادة جميع الرهائن إلى وطنهم وإخضاع حركة حماس.
وقال المنتدى: لقد رفضت الحكومة، وأحبطت وفوّتت كل فرصة لإعادة الرهائن، الحكومة مسؤولة عن الإحباطات المتكررة، مبيناً أن عشرات الرهائن قُتلوا في الأسر بانتظار صفقة لم تكن الحكومة الإسرائيلية تنوي أبداً المضي فيها، مؤكدين أن عائلات 50 رهينة تنتظر إعادة أحبائهم إلى ديارهم، لإعادة تأهيل الأحياء ودفن القتلى.
وأشارت عائلات الرهائن إلى أن 50 جندياً قُتلوا منذ نهاية الصفقة السابقة بلا مقابل سواء إنجازات عسكرية أو عودة الرهائن، وجاء البيان بعد دقائق قليلة من نشر وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية تصريحات لمسؤولين تشير إلى أن رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو اتخذ قراراً باحتلال قطاع غزة وتنفيذ عمليات واسعة داخله حتى في المناطق التي يُتوقع وجود رهائن فيها.

The forum clarified in a statement that a comprehensive agreement for the return of the hostages could have been reached, which is an undeniable fact, but the government intentionally and with premeditation thwarted hostage rescue deals while misleading the public, even though senior security officials repeatedly presented the government with viable options that would allow for the return of all hostages to their homeland and subjugate Hamas.
The forum stated: The government has rejected, thwarted, and missed every opportunity to return the hostages; the government is responsible for the repeated frustrations, indicating that dozens of hostages have been killed in captivity while waiting for a deal that the Israeli government never intended to pursue, emphasizing that the families of 50 hostages are waiting for the return of their loved ones to their homes, to rehabilitate the living and bury the dead.
The families of the hostages pointed out that 50 soldiers have been killed since the end of the previous deal without any gains, whether military achievements or the return of the hostages. The statement came just minutes after Israeli media published remarks from officials indicating that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had made the decision to occupy the Gaza Strip and carry out extensive operations within it, even in areas where hostages are expected to be present.
