اعتقلت الشرطة الإيطالية في مطار ميلانو-مالبينسا رجلاً فرنسياً من أصول مغربية ملاحق في قضايا إرهابية وصادرة بحقه بطاقة جلب دولية.
واعتقل الرجل البالغ من العمر 24 عاماً بينما كان على متن طائرة متجهة إلى البحرين، وفق ما ذكرت وسائل إعلام إيطالية وفرنسية، السبت.
وكانت السلطات الفرنسية أصدرت ضده بطاقة جلب أوروبية. وقالت الشرطة الإيطالية إن الرجل سبق أن أوقف بتهمة الإرهاب في فرنسا لكنها لم تحدد تاريخ الاعتقال بدقة في المطار.
وساعد التعاون الدولي الشرطة الإيطالية في إطلاق عملية تفتيش واسعة في المطار لتحديد هوية الرجل، ورقم الرحلة التي كان يستعد التوجه على متنها إلى البحرين.
وقالت الشرطة في البيان، إن الطائرة كانت قد بدأت بالفعل «في مرحلة الإقلاع على مدرج المطار» قبل أن تتدخل شرطة الحدود لتعطيل الإقلاع. ونقلت قناة «سي نيوز» الإخبارية في فرنسا، أن الرجل اقتيد إلى مركز الشرطة لإجراء فحوصات روتينية قبل أن يتم وضعه في مركز الاحتجاز الاحتياطي بـ«بوستو أرسيزيون» في ميلانو تمهيداً لتسليمه إلى الشرطة الفرنسية.

International cooperation helped the Italian police launch a wide search operation at the airport to identify the man and the flight number he was preparing to take to Bahrain.
The police stated in a press release that the plane had already begun "the takeoff phase on the airport runway" before border police intervened to halt the takeoff. The French news channel "C News" reported that the man was taken to a police station for routine checks before being placed in the "Busto Arsizio" detention center in Milan in preparation for his extradition to the French police.
