شرع سلاحا البحرية الروسية والصينية في إجراء مناورات مدفعية ومضادة للغواصات في بحر اليابان في إطار تدريبات مشتركة مقررة، بحسب ما نقلت وكالة «إنترفاكس» الروسية للأنباء عن الأسطول الروسي في المحيط الهادي اليوم (الأحد).
وتُجرى المناورات بعد يومين من إصدار الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب أمراً بوضع غواصتين نوويتين في «المناطق المناسبة» رداً على تصريحات للرئيس الروسي السابق ديميتري ميدفيديف.
وأعلن الأسطول الروسي في المحيط الهادي أن سفناً روسية وصينية تتحرك في مفرزة مشتركة تضم سفينة روسية كبيرة مضادة للغواصات ومدمرتين صينيتين.
وأضافت الوكالة أن غواصات تعمل بالديزل والكهرباء من البلدين، فضلاً عن سفينة إنقاذ غواصات صينية، شاركت أيضاً. ويأتي ذلك في إطار مناورات بعنوان «التفاعل البحري 2025» من المقرر أن تنتهي الثلاثاء.
وذكرت الوكالة أن بحارة روسيين وصينيين سيجرون عمليات إطلاق مدفعية ويمارسون مهمات دفاع جوي ومضاد للغواصات ويحسنون عمليات البحث والإنقاذ المشتركة في البحر.
وتجري روسيا والصين، اللتان وقعتا اتفاق شراكة استراتيجية «بلا حدود» قبل وقت قصير من خوض روسيا الحرب في أوكرانيا عام 2022، مناورات عسكرية منتظمة للتدريب على التنسيق بين قواتهما المسلحة وإرسال إشارة ردع إلى الخصوم.
وكان ترمب أمر بنشر غواصتين نوويتين، رداً على ما وصفه بتصريحات «استفزازية للغاية» أدلى بها الرئيس الروسي السابق ميدفيديف بشأن خطر الحرب بين الخصمين المسلحين نووياً.
وقال ترمب في منشور على منصات التواصل الاجتماعي: «أمرت بنشر غواصتين نوويتين في المناطق المناسبة تحسباً لأن تكون هذه التصريحات الحمقاء والتحريضية أكثر من مجرد تصريحات».
وأضاف أنه أمر بنقل الغواصتين «تحسباً لأن تكون هذه التصريحات الحمقاء والمستفزة أكثر من مجرد كلمات.. الكلمات لها ثقلها، وربما تؤدي في كثير من الأحيان إلى عواقب غير مقصودة، وآمل ألا تكون هذه إحدى تلك الحالات».
The Russian and Chinese navies have begun conducting artillery and anti-submarine maneuvers in the Sea of Japan as part of scheduled joint exercises, according to the Russian Pacific Fleet reported by the Russian news agency "Interfax" today (Sunday).
The maneuvers come two days after U.S. President Donald Trump ordered the deployment of two nuclear submarines to "appropriate areas" in response to statements made by former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.
The Russian Pacific Fleet announced that Russian and Chinese ships are operating in a joint task force that includes a large Russian anti-submarine ship and two Chinese destroyers.
The agency added that diesel-electric submarines from both countries, as well as a Chinese submarine rescue ship, also participated. This is part of exercises titled "Maritime Interaction 2025," which are scheduled to conclude on Tuesday.
The agency reported that Russian and Chinese sailors will conduct artillery firings and practice air defense and anti-submarine missions, improving joint search and rescue operations at sea.
Russia and China, which signed a "no-limits" strategic partnership agreement shortly before Russia entered the war in Ukraine in 2022, regularly conduct military exercises to train coordination between their armed forces and send a deterrent signal to adversaries.
Trump ordered the deployment of nuclear submarines in response to what he described as "extremely provocative" statements made by former Russian President Medvedev regarding the risk of war between the two nuclear-armed rivals.
Trump stated in a post on social media platforms: "I ordered the deployment of two nuclear submarines to the appropriate areas in anticipation that these foolish and provocative statements are more than just statements."
He added that he ordered the transfer of the submarines "in anticipation that these foolish and provocative statements are more than just words... words carry weight, and they can often lead to unintended consequences, and I hope this is not one of those cases."
