Palestinian medical sources announced today (Monday) the registration of 14 new deaths due to famine and malnutrition in the besieged sector over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 147, including 88 children.

The Israeli government's coordination unit in the Palestinian territories reported that more than 300 trucks loaded with humanitarian aid have arrived in the Gaza Strip.

It stated in a statement published via the "X" platform that more than 120 trucks arrived yesterday, while confirming that there are about 180 other trucks waiting to enter to unload their contents and distribute them to local residents by the United Nations and international organizations.

For its part, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) warned of the worsening malnutrition crisis among children under the age of five, which has doubled over the past three months due to the ongoing blockade imposed on the sector since the beginning of the war.

The World Health Organization confirmed that the level of malnutrition in the Gaza Strip has reached very concerning levels, as the highest rate of deaths related to malnutrition was recorded last July, with 74 deaths, including 24 children under the age of five.

The occupying authority, which has imposed a strict blockade on Gaza since the beginning of the war in October 2023, stated that it has begun implementing a "tactical daily ceasefire" in some areas of the sector starting yesterday; with the aim of facilitating the passage of humanitarian aid convoys provided by the United Nations and international organizations.
