لبى مفتي لبنان الشيخ عبد اللطيف دريان، ومفتو المناطق، ورئيس المحاكم الشرعية السنية، وأمينا فتوى بيروت وطرابلس دعوة السفير السعودي في لبنان وليد بخاري بإقامة مائدة عشاء في دارته باليرزة أمس (الأحد)، وجرى التداول في الشؤون الدينية وأوضاع لبنان والمنطقة.
وأفاد المكتب الإعلامي في دار الفتوى في بيان، اليوم (الإثنين)، بأنه جرى خلال اللقاء التأكيد على الثوابت الإسلامية والوطنية والمحافظة على اتفاق الطائف الضامن لكل مكونات الشعب اللبناني المنضوي تحت سقف الدولة. وقال إن المطلوب من الدولة تنفيذ الإصلاحات وحصر السلاح وفرض سيطرتها على كامل الأراضي اللبنانية والتعاطي بإيجابية مع الورقة الأمريكية المتفق عليها عربياً لحفظ سيادة لبنان وانسحاب العدو الإسرائيلي من الجنوب، وترسيم الحدود، والتعاون مع الدول العربية الشقيقة والدول الصديقة في تحقيق السلام والأمان والاطمئنان والاستقرار في ربوع لبنان.
وشدد المجتمعون على التكاتف والتلاحم لتحصين الساحة الداخلية التي هي الأساس في الحفاظ على دور لبنان الذي يتنفس من الرئة العربية الحاضنة لقضاياه في شتى المجالات.
وعول المجتمعون على المسار الذي تنتهجه اللجنة الخماسية لمساعدة الدولة اللبنانية ومؤسساتها في التعاطي بحكمة عالية وبدبلوماسية بناءة للتوصل إلى قواسم مشتركة بين القوى السياسية مقاربة للرؤية لتكون منطلقاً إلى تحقيق الانفراج وإيجاد مخارج يجمع عليها اللبنانيون الذي ينتظرون الإعمار والازدهار من جديد من خلال بناء الدولة القوية القادرة والعادلة وطي صفحة الماضي المؤلمة.
وأعرب المجتمعون عن دعمهم وتأييدهم للمساعي العربية، وفي طليعتها المملكة العربية السعودية، بدعم الدولة السورية ومؤسساتها للخروج من الأزمة التي تعترضها، وإعادة الأمن الى ساحتها، ورفض التدخل الإسرائيلي فيها الذي يعمل على زرع الفتن بين مكونات الشعب السوري الشقيق.

The Grand Mufti of Lebanon, Sheikh Abdul Latif Deryan, along with the regional muftis, the head of the Sunni Sharia courts, and the muftis of Beirut and Tripoli, responded to the invitation of the Saudi ambassador in Lebanon, Walid Bukhari, to hold a dinner at his residence in Al-Yarzah yesterday (Sunday). They discussed religious affairs and the situation in Lebanon and the region.
The media office at the Dar al-Fatwa stated in a press release today (Monday) that during the meeting, there was an emphasis on the Islamic and national constants and the preservation of the Taif Agreement, which guarantees the rights of all components of the Lebanese people under the umbrella of the state. It stated that the state is required to implement reforms, restrict weapons, assert its control over all Lebanese territories, and engage positively with the American paper agreed upon by Arab countries to preserve Lebanon's sovereignty, ensure the withdrawal of the Israeli enemy from the south, demarcate borders, and cooperate with brotherly Arab countries and friendly nations to achieve peace, security, reassurance, and stability in Lebanon.
The attendees stressed the importance of solidarity and cohesion to fortify the internal arena, which is fundamental in maintaining Lebanon's role that breathes through the Arab lung that supports its issues in various fields.
The attendees expressed their hopes for the path taken by the quintet committee to assist the Lebanese state and its institutions in dealing wisely and diplomatically to reach common ground among the political forces, approaching a vision that serves as a starting point for achieving relief and finding solutions that unite the Lebanese, who are waiting for reconstruction and prosperity anew through building a strong, capable, and just state and closing the painful chapter of the past.
The attendees expressed their support for and endorsement of the Arab efforts, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to support the Syrian state and its institutions to emerge from the crisis it faces, restore security to its territory, and reject Israeli interference that seeks to sow discord among the components of the Syrian brotherly people.
