قبل توجهها إلى إسرائيل، تعتزم سفينة شحن أمريكية تحمل أنظمة مدفعية وذخيرة للجيش الإسرائيلي الرسو في ميناء ليماسول التابع لقبرص. وبحسب وسائل إعلام قبرصية اليوم (الجمعة) فإن سفينة الشحن «أوشن غراند» التي ترفع العلم الأمريكي انطلقت من ولاية كارولاينا الشمالية، وتحمل أنظمة مدفعية وذخيرة للجيش الإسرائيلي.
وأشارت وسائل الإعلام إلى أن السفينة سترسو في ميناء ليماسول في جنوب قبرص لتزويدها بالإمدادات، ومنه تغادر إلى ميناء أسدود في إسرائيل.
وذكرت صحيفة «سايبرس ميل» الناطقة بالإنجليزية، نقلاً عن موقع «ذا ديتش» الإخباري الأيرلندي اليساري، أن سفينة «أوشن غراند» تحمل على متنها كمية كبيرة من الذخائر للقوات الإسرائيلية، مبينة أن الشحنة تضم 4 أنظمة مدفعية هاوتزر متحركة من طراز «روم» عيار 155 ملم، و10.4 طن من النيتروسليلوز، وهي مادة متفجرة تُستخدم كقوة دافعة في الأسلحة النارية.
وأوضحت الصحيفة أن السفينة كانت قبالة سواحل مالطا-صقلية صباح الأربعاء، وأن مكانها حاليا مجهول بسبب تعطيلها نظام التعريف الآلي، ولم تُصدر إدارة جنوب قبرص أي بيان بشأن السفينة حتى ظهر الجمعة، فيما لم يعلن أي مسؤول أمريكي أو إسرائيلي عن شحنة الأسلحة وطبيعتها.
وتأتي شحنة الأسلحة في الوقت الذي تواصل إسرائيل هجماتها على قطاع غزة. وبحسب مزاعم الاحتلال الإسرائيلي فإن القصف استهدف عدداً من القياديين في جهاز الأمن العام ولجان الطوارئ في قطاع غزة.
وقال المتحدث باسم جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي أفخاي أدرعي في منشور على حسابه في «إكس» إن الغارات الإسرائيلية في شمال غزة استهدفت خلال الأسبوع قائد منطقة غرب غزة في جهاز الأمن العام برهوم شاهين، ورئيس لجنة الطوارئ في غزة هشام صرصور.

The English-language newspaper "Cyprus Mail," citing the leftist Irish news site "The Ditch," reported that the "Ocean Grand" is carrying a large quantity of ammunition for Israeli forces, noting that the shipment includes 4 mobile howitzer artillery systems of the "Rome" model, caliber 155 mm, and 10.4 tons of nitrocellulose, an explosive material used as a propellant in firearms.
The newspaper clarified that the ship was off the coasts of Malta-Sicily on Wednesday morning, and its current location is unknown due to the disabling of its automatic identification system. The administration of southern Cyprus has not issued any statement regarding the ship as of Friday afternoon, and no American or Israeli official has announced details about the arms shipment and its nature.
The arms shipment comes at a time when Israel continues its attacks on the Gaza Strip. According to claims by the Israeli occupation, the bombardment targeted a number of leaders in the General Security Service and emergency committees in the Gaza Strip.
Israeli occupation army spokesperson Avichai Adraee stated in a post on his account on "X" that the Israeli airstrikes in northern Gaza targeted during the week the commander of the West Gaza area in the General Security Service, Barhoum Shaheen, and the head of the emergency committee in Gaza, Hisham Sarsour.
