قطر تعلن بدء إجراءات التقييم لأضرار اعتراض الصواريخ الإيرانية

Qatar announced today (Sunday) that it is taking measures to assess the damage caused by the interception of Iranian missiles and to compensate those affected among citizens and residents.

The Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported that, in implementation of the directives of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the country, an extraordinary meeting of the Civil Defense Council was held, chaired by the Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), and the Chairman of the Civil Defense Council, with the participation of representatives from the relevant authorities. The aim was to identify and assess the damage resulting from the interception of the Iranian missiles and to compensate those affected among citizens and residents. It noted that the council reviewed the urgent measures that had already been taken and approved specific mechanisms that came into effect immediately to ensure the swift implementation of those directives and to contribute to addressing the impacts of that event.

On June 23, Qatar announced that its air defenses had thwarted the Iranian attack and successfully intercepted the missiles, expressing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' strong condemnation of the attack that targeted Al Udeid Air Base by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.

The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the attack is a blatant violation of Qatar's sovereignty and airspace and of international law, and the attack received widespread international condemnation.
