وأوضح خوليو جارسيا، الضابط في قسم شرطة شيكاغو، أن الشرطة سوف تصدر تحديثات إضافية لدى توفرها، فيما قال كريس كينج، المتحدث باسم جهاز الرعاية الصحية نورث ويسترن ميديسن، إن قسم الطوارئ يقيم حالات من أصيبوا في إطلاق النار لكنه لم يوضح عدد المصابين الذين جرى نقلهم إلى المستشفى وحالاتهم الصحية.

من جهتها، قالت وسائل إعلام أمريكية إن 3 أشخاص قتلوا على الأقل وأصيب 16 آخرين في تبادل لإطلاق النار عند ملهى ليلي في مدينة شيكاغو الأمريكية. وبحسب شبكة «سي بي إس»، فإن مجهولين كانوا يقودون سيارة أطلقوا النار على أشخاص كانوا يغادرون الملهى. وأشارت إلى أن سلطات إنفاذ القانون تجري تحقيقات في الحادثة.
وشهدت مدينة شيكاغو الأمريكية عددا من الحوادث طوال الأشهر الماضية وآخرها العثور على «رجل ميت» على جبل كانفيلد في ولاية آيداهو شمال غربي الولايات المتحدة، بالإضافة إلى تعرض رجال إطفاء لكمين خلال مكافحتهم حريق.
وحذرت الشرطة خلال منتصف الأسبوع الحالي السكان بضرورة إلزام مساكنهم خلال المواجهة بين قوات إنفاذ القانون وعدد غير محدد من المسلحين سيتم رفعه.

For its part, American media reported that at least 3 people were killed and 16 others were injured in a shooting exchange at a nightclub in Chicago. According to CBS, unidentified individuals in a car opened fire on people leaving the club. It noted that law enforcement authorities are conducting investigations into the incident.
Chicago has witnessed a number of incidents over the past months, the latest being the discovery of a "dead man" on Mount Canfield in Idaho, in the northwestern United States, in addition to firefighters being ambushed while combating a fire.
The police warned residents earlier this week to stay in their homes during the confrontation between law enforcement and an unspecified number of armed individuals.
