أمريكا: تعليق إيران التعاون مع الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية غير مقبول

The United States of America announced today (Wednesday) its rejection of Iran's decision to suspend its cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency, affirming that it is "unacceptable."

U.S. State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce told reporters, "We will use the term unacceptable to describe Iran's choice to suspend its cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency at a time when it has the opportunity to change its course and choose the path of peace and prosperity," adding, "Iran must cooperate fully and without delay with the International Atomic Energy Agency."

For his part, United Nations spokesperson Stefan Dujarric stated today that Iran's suspension of cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency certainly raises concerns.

Dujarric told reporters, "We have seen the official decision, which is certainly concerning; Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has been steadfast in calling on Iran to cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency."

Local media reported that Iranian President Masoud Bezhakian issued an order today to suspend cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency, following the targeting of the United States' most important nuclear facilities.

The decision comes after the Iranian parliament approved the suspension of cooperation with the agency, and the decision also received the approval of the Guardian Council.

Germany had warned against Iran's suspension of cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency, considering it a catastrophic message and signal.

A spokesperson for the German Foreign Ministry said, "For a diplomatic resolution to the nuclear file, it is essential for Iran to work with the International Atomic Energy Agency," while Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar called on the international community to act decisively to stop the Iranian nuclear program.
