In a phone call today (Tuesday), the foreign ministers of Egypt and Qatar discussed the arrangements for Egypt to host the Early Recovery and Reconstruction Conference in Gaza, immediately following the reaching of a ceasefire agreement, in cooperation with the Palestinian government and the United Nations.

According to an official statement issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Egyptian Foreign Minister and Immigration Minister Dr. Badr Abdel Aty held a phone call with the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani. The call addressed various aspects of the bilateral relations between the two countries, where Minister Abdel Aty praised the growing relationship between Cairo and Doha, pointing to the strong ties and bonds that unite them and serve the common interests of the two brotherly peoples.

The two ministers exchanged views on the latest developments in the Gaza Strip, the joint efforts with the United States to resume the ceasefire, the need to stop the bloodshed of the Palestinian people, the release of prisoners and detainees, and ensuring the urgent and unhindered flow of humanitarian aid to the region.

Minister Abdel Aty also reviewed the arrangements for Egypt to host the Early Recovery and Reconstruction Conference in Gaza, immediately following the reaching of a ceasefire agreement, in cooperation with the Palestinian government and the United Nations.

The two ministers discussed the developments related to the ceasefire between Iran and Israel, where they emphasized the necessity of solidifying the ceasefire, reducing escalation, and promoting diplomatic solutions. The Egyptian minister also reaffirmed his country's support for the resumption of negotiations regarding the Iranian nuclear program and all efforts aimed at achieving security and stability in the Middle East.
