أعلنت وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية اليوم (الإثنين)، أن حاملة الطائرات الأمريكية «يو إس إس نيميتز» تتجه حالياً نحو منطقة الشرق الأوسط في خضم الحرب بين إيران وإسرائيل.
وتعتبر «يو إس إس نيميتز» من أضخم حاملات الطائرات الأمريكية، وهي جزء من مجموعة الحاملة الضاربة 11 ومعها في هذه المجموعة جناح الحاملة الجوي 11، وتعد أيضاً سفينة القائد في سرب المدمرات 23 الذي يضم أيضاً ستّ مدمرات وفرقاطة.
أما جناح الحاملة الجوي فيضم مقاتلات إف إيه-18 هورنت، وإف إيه-18إي إف سوبر هورنت، وطائرات جرومان إي أ-6 بي، وإي - 2 هوك آي، ومروحيات إس إيتش-60 سي هوك معدلة، وناقلات جرومان سي-2 جري هاند.
من جانبه، قال المتحدث باسم القوات المسلحة الإيرانية «إن الملاجئ تحت الأرض لن تمنح الأمن للإسرائيليين، إذ ستصبح المنطقة غير صالحة للسكن»، وفق تعبيره.
وشدد على أن لدى طهران «بنك أهداف شاملاً وعلى الإسرائيليين عدم السماح باستخدامهم دروعا بشرية»، مضيفاً: «هجماتنا تشمل مواقع حيوية ومقار سكنية للقادة والعلماء الصهاينة»، مشيراً في السياق ذاته إلى أن الهجوم الإسرائيلي «سيُقابل برد صادم يشمل كل الأراضي المحتلة».
ونقلت وكالة «مهر» الإيرانية الرسمية تصريحات قوية عن المتحدث العسكري، وُصفت فيها الحكومة الإسرائيلية برئاسة بنيامين نتنياهو بأنها «نظام عاجز وفاسد ومجرم»، متهمة إياها بشنّ «عدوان فاشل مسبقاً» ضد الجمهورية الإيرانية.
وأوضح أن «القوات المسلحة الإيرانية ستردّ بشكل ساحق ومؤسف ومؤثر على هذا النظام المجرم القاتل للأطفال»، مؤكداً أن نطاق الردّ الإيراني سيشمل «جميع أنحاء الأراضي المحتلة».
Israeli media announced today (Monday) that the American aircraft carrier "USS Nimitz" is currently heading towards the Middle East amid the war between Iran and Israel.
The "USS Nimitz" is considered one of the largest American aircraft carriers and is part of Carrier Strike Group 11, which includes Carrier Air Wing 11. It is also the flagship of Destroyer Squadron 23, which includes six destroyers and a frigate.
The Carrier Air Wing includes F/A-18 Hornet fighters, F/A-18E/F Super Hornets, Grumman A-6E Intruders, E-2 Hawkeyes, modified SH-60 Seahawk helicopters, and Grumman C-2 Greyhounds.
For his part, the spokesperson for the Iranian armed forces stated, "Underground shelters will not provide security for the Israelis, as the area will become uninhabitable," as he put it.
He emphasized that Tehran has "a comprehensive target bank and that the Israelis should not allow themselves to be used as human shields," adding, "Our attacks will include vital sites and residential areas of Zionist leaders and scientists," noting in this context that the Israeli attack "will be met with a shocking response that includes all occupied territories."
The Iranian official news agency "Mehr" reported strong statements from the military spokesperson, in which the Israeli government led by Benjamin Netanyahu was described as a "helpless, corrupt, and criminal regime," accusing it of launching a "premature failed aggression" against the Iranian republic.
He clarified that "the Iranian armed forces will respond overwhelmingly, regrettably, and impactfully to this criminal regime that kills children," affirming that the scope of the Iranian response will include "all occupied territories."
