بعد ساعات من فرض الطوارئ وحظر التجول ليلاً، اعتقلت شرطة لوس أنجلوس بولاية كاليفورنيا، اليوم (الأربعاء)، عدداً من المتظاهرين ضد سياسة الهجرة وترحيل المهاجرين غير الشرعيين التي فرضها الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب. وأفادت الشرطة في بيان بأنها أجرت عمليات توقيف مع تحدي المحتجين حظر التجول. فيما أعلن حاكم ولاية تكساس جريج أبوت أنه سيتم نشر أفراد من الحرس الوطني في مواقع مختلفة بالولاية استعداداً للاحتجاجات المخطط لها هذا الأسبوع. وقال في منشور على منصة «X»، إن الاحتجاج السلمي قانوني، أما إيذاء أي شخص أو ممتلكات فغير قانوني وسيؤدي إلى الاعتقال. وأضاف الحاكم الجمهوري أن الحرس الوطني سيستخدم كل أداة وإستراتيجية لمساعدة سلطات إنفاذ القانون في الحفاظ على النظام.
ويتوقع أن تنظم مجموعة من منظمات جنوب تكساس مسيرات مناهضة لإدارة الهجرة والجمارك يومي الأربعاء والسبت، بحسب ما أفادت قناة KSAT التابعة لشبكة CNN.
وكانت سلطات إنفاذ القانون استخدمت الغاز المسيل للدموع ورذاذ الفلفل لتفريق المتظاهرين في مبنى الكابيتول بولاية أوستن.

من جانبها، أعلنت رئيسة بلدية لوس أنجلوس كارين باس فرض حظر تجوّل ليلي على المدينة، حيث تجري منذ أيام عدّة صدامات بين قوات الأمن ومحتجّين على سياسات ترمب بشأن الهجرة.
وحذر الرئيس ترمب من أن لوس أنجلوس بكاملها تحترق، معتبراً الأحداث التي تشهدها المدينة «اجتياحاً أجنبياً» يهدد سيادة البلاد.
وكان ترمب الذي دفع بمشاة البحرية (المارينز)، والحرس الوطني إلى ثاني أكبر المدن الأمريكية، يتحدث إلى جنود في قاعدة فورت براغ في نورث كارولاينا التي وصل إليها احتفالاً بالذكرى السنوية لتأسيس الجيش الأمريكي.
وفي خطابه، (الثلاثاء)، قال ترمب: لن نسمح باجتياح مدينة أمريكية واحتلالها من قبل أعداء أجانب، في إشارة إلى الاحتجاجات التي اندلعت على خلفية عمليات دهم تنفّذها سلطات الهجرة.
وفي تشديد لموقفه، حذّر ترمب المتظاهرين الذين وصفهم بأنهم «مخربون ومتمردون»، بقوله: «إذا تحدونا، سنرد بقوة، وأعدكم أننا سنضرب كما لم نفعل من قبل». وقال إن «ما تشهدونه في كاليفورنيا هو هجوم شامل على السلم والنظام العام والسيادة الوطنية، ينفذه مثيرو شغب يرفعون أعلاماً أجنبية بهدف مواصلة اجتياح أجنبي لبلدنا». وطالب أوروبا أن تفعل شيئاً ما بشأن الهجرة غير المنضبطة.
وأصدر الرئيس الأمريكي، الإثنين الماضي، قراراً استثنائياً بنشر 700 عنصر من المارينز، و2000 عنصر من الحرس الوطني.
After hours of imposing a state of emergency and a nighttime curfew, the Los Angeles Police Department in California arrested a number of protesters today (Wednesday) against the immigration policy and deportation of illegal immigrants enforced by President Donald Trump. The police stated in a statement that they conducted arrests despite the protesters challenging the curfew. Meanwhile, Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced that National Guard members will be deployed to various locations across the state in preparation for planned protests this week. He said in a post on the platform "X" that peaceful protest is legal, but harming anyone or property is illegal and will lead to arrest. The Republican governor added that the National Guard will use every tool and strategy to assist law enforcement in maintaining order.
A group of organizations from South Texas is expected to organize anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement marches on Wednesday and Saturday, according to KSAT, a CNN affiliate.
Law enforcement authorities used tear gas and pepper spray to disperse protesters at the Capitol building in Austin.

For her part, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass announced a nighttime curfew for the city, where clashes between security forces and protesters against Trump's immigration policies have been ongoing for several days.
President Trump warned that all of Los Angeles is burning, considering the events in the city as a "foreign invasion" threatening the country's sovereignty.
Trump, who deployed Marines and the National Guard to the second-largest city in America, was speaking to soldiers at Fort Bragg in North Carolina, where he arrived to celebrate the anniversary of the founding of the U.S. Army.
In his speech on Tuesday, Trump said: "We will not allow a U.S. city to be invaded and occupied by foreign enemies," referring to the protests that erupted following immigration enforcement raids.
To reinforce his stance, Trump warned the protesters, whom he described as "vandals and rebels," saying: "If you challenge us, we will respond with force, and I promise you that we will strike like never before." He stated that "what you are witnessing in California is a full-scale attack on peace, public order, and national sovereignty, carried out by rioters waving foreign flags with the aim of continuing a foreign invasion of our country." He called on Europe to do something about uncontrolled immigration.
Last Monday, the U.S. President issued an exceptional order to deploy 700 Marines and 2,000 National Guard members.
