حذرت وكالة الأمم المتحدة لغوث وتشغيل اللاجئين الفلسطينيين (الأونروا) من أن نموذج توزيع المساعدات في غزة دعوة للموت، في وقت أعلنت مؤسسة غزة الإنسانية غلق جميع مراكز التوزيع بشكل مؤقت في القطاع المحاصر. وأكدت المتحدثة باسم الأونروا جولييت توما أن نموذج توزيع المساعدات غير فعال، ويمثل دعوة الناس إلى الموت.
وجددت التأكيد على أن الطريقة الوحيدة لتوزيع المساعدات على نطاق واسع وبشكل آمن على سكان غزة هي من خلال الأمم المتحدة، بما فيها الأونروا.
واعتبرت في تصريحات لشبكة «سي إن إن» اليوم (السبت) أن «عمل الوكالة خلال وقف إطلاق النار كان ناجحاً وملموساً».
وأغلقت مؤسسة غزة الإنسانية، المدعومة من الولايات المتحدة وإسرائيل، جميع مراكز توزيع المساعدات الخاصة بها مؤقتاً في قطاع غزة أمس (الجمعة). وأرجعت في بيان نشرته عبر صفحتها على فيسبوك الإغلاق لأسباب تتعلق بالسلامة، وحثت السكان على الابتعاد عن المنشآت. إلا أنها لم تحدد مدة استمرار تعليق توزيع المساعدات، الذي تزامن مع حلول عيد الأضحى، الذي يفترض أن يشهد تجمعات عائلية ووجبات احتفالية.
المؤسسة التي أنشئت في فبراير الماضي بدعم أمريكي إسرائيلي، ومقرها جنيف، بدأت في توزيع الطعام يوم 26 مايو، لكنها سرعان ما توقفت جراء فوضى عمت عمليات التوزيع، وإطلاق نار من قبل إسرائيل، ما أدى إلى مقتل عشرات المدنيين أكثر من مرة خلال الأيام الماضية.
ورفضت الأمم المتحدة التعاون مع المؤسسة، قائلة إنها تنتهك المبادئ الإنسانية الأساسية، لاسيما أن توزيع الطعام يتم تحت سيطرة الجيش الإسرائيلي، ويتركز أغلبه في جنوب غزة.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) warned that the aid distribution model in Gaza is a call to death, at a time when the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation announced the temporary closure of all its distribution centers in the besieged sector. UNRWA spokesperson Juliette Touma confirmed that the aid distribution model is ineffective and represents a call for people to die.
She reiterated that the only way to distribute aid widely and safely to the residents of Gaza is through the United Nations, including UNRWA.
In statements to CNN today (Saturday), she considered that "the agency's work during the ceasefire was successful and tangible."
The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, supported by the United States and Israel, temporarily closed all its aid distribution centers in the Gaza Strip yesterday (Friday). In a statement posted on its Facebook page, it attributed the closure to safety concerns and urged residents to stay away from the facilities. However, it did not specify the duration of the suspension of aid distribution, which coincided with the arrival of Eid al-Adha, which is supposed to witness family gatherings and festive meals.
The foundation, established last February with American-Israeli support and based in Geneva, began distributing food on May 26, but quickly halted due to chaos that engulfed the distribution operations and gunfire from Israel, resulting in the deaths of dozens of civilians multiple times in recent days.
The United Nations refused to cooperate with the foundation, stating that it violates basic humanitarian principles, especially since food distribution is conducted under the control of the Israeli army, with most of it concentrated in southern Gaza.
