The National Center for E-Learning has called on educational or training providers to rectify their status to ensure the continued provision of e-learning or training programs before July 17, 2025. If the rectification is not made, they will not be allowed to practice e-learning or training, and necessary measures will be taken.

Sources revealed to "Okaz" that the target group includes the public sector, private sector, and non-profit sector. An official license will be granted to the entity by the National Center for E-Learning after meeting the criteria for educational or training programs, enabling it to offer synchronous or asynchronous electronic programs.

The source indicated that the fee for issuing an academic program license (Diploma, Bachelor's, Master's, Doctorate) is 1,500 riyals per course, while the fee for the training program is 1,500 riyals per course, and the fee for the training course is 1,500 riyals, with the course also costing 1,500 riyals.

The National Center specified that the license for the program will be issued immediately after fulfilling all requirements through the electronic portal.

Among the key requirements for issuing the program license are filling out the electronic form via the portal, submitting an approved plan and license from the relevant authority (for the private and non-profit sectors), in addition to meeting the criteria for the program license approved by the center, and paying the specified financial fee.

The center emphasized that the program license is valid indefinitely and does not have an expiration date, noting that if the entity fails to comply with quality standards, it will be notified and given a grace period for rectification. If the grace period expires without rectification, the license will be deactivated, and the entity will be placed on the list of license violators.

The center stated that the executive regulations apply to all entities offering e-learning programs within the Kingdom, whether licensed or unlicensed, to ensure compliance with national standards and to regulate the sector in a way that achieves quality education and protects beneficiaries.

The center is dedicated to facilitating the licensing process for all governmental, private, and non-profit educational, academic, and training institutions, aiming to ensure the quality of e-learning and training and to enhance trust in its programs and outputs, thereby increasing the efficiency of the sector in the Kingdom.
