التقى وزير العدل الدكتور وليد بن محمد الصمعاني، المدير العام للمنظمة العالمية للملكية الفكرية «الويبو» دارين تانغ، خلال زيارته لمقر المنظمة في جنيف.
واستعرض الدكتور الصمعاني، خلال اللقاء، أبرز التطورات التي يشهدها القطاع العدلي في المملكة بدعم من خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، وبمتابعة من ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان، لا سيما في مجالات التشريعات المتخصصة.
وعلى هامش اللقاء، وقع الجانبان مذكرة تفاهم، بهدف التعاون لنشر الأحكام القضائية في مجال الملكية الفكرية، بما يسهم في تبادل المعرفة وتطوير الممارسات القضائية على المستويين المحلي والدولي.
The Minister of Justice, Dr. Walid bin Mohammed Al-Samaani, met with the Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Daren Tang, during his visit to the organization's headquarters in Geneva.
During the meeting, Dr. Al-Samaani reviewed the key developments in the judicial sector in the Kingdom, supported by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and under the follow-up of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, particularly in the areas of specialized legislation.
On the sidelines of the meeting, both parties signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at cooperating to publish judicial rulings in the field of intellectual property, which contributes to knowledge exchange and the development of judicial practices at both local and international levels.
