تمكّنت قوة الواجب المختلطة «CTF-150» التي تتولى قيادتها حاليًا القوات البحرية الملكية السعودية، من إحباط محاولة تهريب شحنة ضخمة من المواد المخدرة، وذلك خلال عملياتها في منطقة المسؤولية.
وجاءت العملية ضمن العملية المركّزة «المصمك» التي نُفذت بقيادة وتنسيق قوة الواجب المختلطة «CTF-150»، في إطار الجهود الدولية المشتركة لمكافحة تهريب المخدرات والأنشطة غير المشروعة في أعالي البحار.
وأوضح قائد قوة الواجب المختلطة «CTF-150» العميد البحري الركن فهد بن صنيدح الجعيد أن سفينة القوات البحرية الباكستانية «اليرموك» نفذت إحدى أنجح عمليات ضبط المخدرات في تاريخ القوات البحرية المختلطة «CMF»، حيث تمكنت من اعتراض زورقين خلال أقل من 48 ساعة.
وبيّن أن العملية أسفرت عن ضبط كميات ضخمة من مادة الميثامفيتامين «الشبو» على متن الزورق الأول، والميثامفيتامين والكوكايين على متن الزورق الثاني.
وأكد العميد الجعيد أن نجاح عملية «المصمك» يجسد أهمية التعاون الدولي وتكامل الجهود في تعزيز الأمن البحري ومكافحة الأنشطة غير المشروعة، مشيرًا إلى أن هذا الإنجاز يعكس التزام القوات البحرية المختلطة «CMF» بمواصلة جهودها في التصدي لعمليات تهريب المخدرات والجريمة المنظمة، بما يسهم في تعزيز أمن واستقرار الممرات البحرية، وحماية المصالح الإقليمية والدولية وضمان حرية الملاحة البحرية.
وأضاف أن العمليات النوعية التي تنفذها القوة ستسهم في رفع كفاءة وخبرة الضباط وضباط الصف في بيئة العمل المختلطة متعددة الجنسيات، وتعزز من قدرات القوات البحرية الملكية السعودية في إطار دورها القيادي ضمن تحالف القوات البحرية المختلطة.
The mixed task force "CTF-150," currently led by the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle a large shipment of narcotics during its operations in the area of responsibility.
This operation was part of the focused operation "Al-Masmak," which was executed under the leadership and coordination of the mixed task force "CTF-150," as part of the joint international efforts to combat drug trafficking and illicit activities on the high seas.
The commander of the mixed task force "CTF-150," Rear Admiral Fahd bin Sunaidih Al-Juaid, explained that the Pakistani naval ship "Al-Yarmouk" carried out one of the most successful drug seizure operations in the history of the Combined Maritime Forces (CMF), managing to intercept two boats in less than 48 hours.
He indicated that the operation resulted in the seizure of large quantities of methamphetamine ("Shabu") on board the first boat, and methamphetamine and cocaine on board the second boat.
Admiral Al-Juaid emphasized that the success of Operation "Al-Masmak" embodies the importance of international cooperation and the integration of efforts in enhancing maritime security and combating illicit activities, noting that this achievement reflects the commitment of the Combined Maritime Forces (CMF) to continue its efforts in tackling drug trafficking and organized crime, contributing to the enhancement of security and stability in maritime corridors, protecting regional and international interests, and ensuring freedom of maritime navigation.
He added that the specialized operations carried out by the force will contribute to raising the efficiency and experience of officers and non-commissioned officers in the multinational mixed working environment, and will enhance the capabilities of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces within its leadership role in the Combined Maritime Forces coalition.
