Today, Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz inaugurated the mobile oncology unit affiliated with the medical services of the Ministry of Interior.

This initiative aims to enhance specialized healthcare services across various regions of the Kingdom, as part of a qualitative step to develop the mobile healthcare system within the Ministry of Interior, contributing to expanding access to specialized services and alleviating burdens on patients, especially in remote areas.

The mobile unit provides comprehensive oncology treatment at multiple locations across the Kingdom, including chemotherapy, remote medical consultations, and palliative care, in addition to utilizing modern digital health technologies and smart connectivity systems between service providers, ensuring rapid diagnosis, accurate follow-up, and quality care.

This initiative is one of the fruits of collaboration between the Medical Cities Operating Program within the medical services of the Ministry of Interior and the (STC) Group to enable digital transformation in health services and improve the quality of life for patients, as part of both parties' commitment to adopting innovation and modern technologies to serve humanity and achieve the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 in national health transformation.

The mobile oncology unit is scheduled to be showcased at the Ministry of Interior's pavilion during the Global Health Forum 2025, allowing visitors to explore the advanced technical equipment integrated into the unit and its role in delivering specialized therapeutic services to various regions of the Kingdom.

Present at the inauguration were the Deputy Minister of Interior, Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayaf, the Assistant Minister of Interior for Technical Affairs, Prince Dr. Bandar bin Abdullah bin Mishari, the Assistant Minister of Interior, Dr. Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al-Falih, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Security Affairs, Mohammed bin Mahna Al-Mahna, the Advisor to the Minister of Interior, Raed bin Abdullah bin Ahmed, and the Supervisor of Medical Services at the Ministry of Interior, Dr. Saleh bin Zaid Al-Mohsen.

Also in attendance were the CEO of the Saudi Telecom Group, Aliyan Al-Watad, the CEO of the Business Unit at the Saudi Telecom Group, Riyad Maawad, and the CEO of the Medical Cities Program, Engineer Yasser Al-Aufi.
