أكد رئيس مجلس إدارة غرفة مكة المكرمة عبدالله صالح كامل، أن مكة المكرمة ليست فقط قلب العالم الإسلامي ومهوى أفئدة المسلمين، بل هي أيضاً مدينة الفرص الاقتصادية والتنموية التي تستحق أن تكون في طليعة المدن الذكية على مستوى العالم.
وأكد خلال استضافته في «أحدية العبدلي» في موسمها الـ34 بالرياض، بحضور نخبة من الوجهاء والمثقفين ورواد الأعمال والإعلاميين، على دعم ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان للمشاريع التنموية في مكة المكرمة والمشاعر المقدسة، بصفته رئيساً لمجلس إدارة الهيئة الملكية لمدينة مكة المكرمة والمشاعر المقدسة، كذلك التعاون المستمر بين غرفة مكة والهيئة الملكية لمدينة مكة المكرمة والمشاعر المقدسة.
وقال إن ما تشهده مكة المكرمة من مشاريع تطوير وتنظيم ونقل، هو امتدادٌ لرؤية طموحة تعظّم من مكانتها الدينية والاقتصادية في آنٍ واحد.
وتحدث خلال الأحدية عن مسار التطوير الشامل الذي تشهده مكة المكرمة في مختلف المجالات، خصوصاً في البنية التحتية، والنقل، والتنظيم العمراني، والخدمات الاستثمارية.

وقال إن مشروع «مسار مكة» يمثل نقلة نوعية في وسائل التنقل والخدمات اللوجستية داخل المدينة، إذ يربط مناطقها الحيوية بالحرم المكي الشريف بسهولة ويسر، ويسهم في رفع كفاءة الحركة والتنظيم خلال مواسم الحج والعمرة، لافتاً إلى أن المرحلة القادمة ستشهد توسعاً أكبر في وسائل النقل الذكية، وتعزيز الربط بين الأحياء والمشاعر المقدسة.
وأضاف أن مكة المكرمة كانت في الماضي تعاني من العشوائيات والتكدس العمراني، غير أن ما تشهده اليوم من تنظيم عمراني شامل وتخطيط حديث، يعكس حرص القيادة على تحسين جودة الحياة لسكانها وزوارها، مع الحفاظ على قدسيتها وهويتها التاريخية.
وبيّن رئيس غرفة مكة المكرمة أن تنوع الفرص الاستثمارية في المدينة يجعلها بيئة جاذبة لكل من يسعى إلى المساهمة في تنميتها، مشيراً إلى أن القطاعات الواعدة تشمل الضيافة، والنقل، والتقنية، والخدمات اللوجستية، والمنتجات الوقفية، مؤكداً أهمية الاستثمار في هذه المجالات بما يواكب استضافة مكة للملايين من الحجاج والمعتمرين على مدار العام.
من جانبه، ثمّن مؤسس «الأحدية» عبيد بن سعد العبدلي مشاركة رئيس مجلس إدارة غرفة مكة المكرمة الشيخ عبدالله صالح كامل، مؤكداً أن حديثه عكس عمق الرؤية الاقتصادية والتنموية تجاه أقدس بقاع الأرض، ودعا إلى استمرار طرح مثل هذه اللقاءات التي تجمع الفكر والاقتصاد والثقافة في منصة واحدة.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Makkah Chamber, Abdullah Saleh Kamel, affirmed that Makkah is not only the heart of the Islamic world and the destination of Muslims' hearts, but it is also a city of economic and developmental opportunities that deserves to be at the forefront of smart cities worldwide.
During his hosting at the "Abdali Gathering" in its 34th season in Riyadh, attended by a select group of dignitaries, intellectuals, entrepreneurs, and media professionals, he emphasized the support of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman for developmental projects in Makkah and the holy sites, in his capacity as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Royal Commission for the City of Makkah and the Holy Sites, as well as the ongoing cooperation between the Makkah Chamber and the Royal Commission.
He stated that what Makkah is witnessing in terms of development, organization, and transportation projects is an extension of an ambitious vision that enhances its religious and economic status simultaneously.
During the gathering, he spoke about the comprehensive development path that Makkah is experiencing in various fields, particularly in infrastructure, transportation, urban organization, and investment services.

He said that the "Makkah Route" project represents a qualitative leap in transportation and logistics services within the city, as it connects its vital areas to the Holy Mosque with ease and convenience, contributing to improving the efficiency of movement and organization during the Hajj and Umrah seasons, noting that the upcoming phase will witness greater expansion in smart transportation means and enhanced connectivity between neighborhoods and the holy sites.
He added that Makkah used to suffer from informal settlements and urban congestion in the past, but what it is witnessing today in terms of comprehensive urban organization and modern planning reflects the leadership's commitment to improving the quality of life for its residents and visitors while preserving its sanctity and historical identity.
The Chairman of the Makkah Chamber indicated that the diversity of investment opportunities in the city makes it an attractive environment for anyone seeking to contribute to its development, pointing out that promising sectors include hospitality, transportation, technology, logistics services, and endowment products, emphasizing the importance of investing in these areas to keep pace with Makkah's hosting of millions of pilgrims and Umrah performers throughout the year.
