تمكّنت هيئة الزكاة والضريبة والجمارك زاتكا في منفذ الربع الخالي من إحباط محاولة تهريب 8.9 كيلوغرام من مادة الميثامفيتامين الشبو، عُثر عليها مخبأة في إحدى الشاحنات القادمة إلى المملكة عبر المنفذ.
وأوضح المتحدث باسم «زاتكا» حمود الحربي بأنه عند خضوع إحدى الشاحنات القادمة للإجراءات الجمركية والكشف عليها عبر التقنيات الأمنية، عُثر على تلك الكمية من مادة «الشبو» مُخبأة أسفل خزان الهواء الخاص بالشاحنة.
وأضاف الحربي أنه بعد إتمام عملية الضبط، جرى التنسيق مع المديرية العامة لمكافحة المخدرات، حيث تم القبض على مستقبلي المضبوطات داخل المملكة وهما شخصان.
وأكّد الحربي أن «زاتكا» ماضية في إحكام الرقابة الجمركية على واردات وصادرات المملكة، وتقف بالمرصاد أمام محاولات أرباب التهريب، وذلك تحقيقًا لأبرز ركائز إستراتيجيتها المتمثلة في تعزيز أمن وحماية المجتمع بالحد من محاولات تهريب مثل هذه الآفات وغيرها من الممنوعات.
ودعا الحربي الجميع إلى الإسهام في مكافحة التهريب لحماية المجتمع والاقتصاد الوطني من خلال التواصل معها على الرقم المخصص للبلاغات الأمنية (1910) أو عبر البريد الإلكتروني (@zatca.gov.sa1910) والرقم الدولي (009661910)، حيث تقوم الهيئة من خلال هذه القنوات باستقبال البلاغات المرتبطة بجرائم التهريب، ومخالفات أحكام نظام الجمارك الموحد وذلك بسرية تامة، مع منح مكافأة مالية للمُبلّغ في حال صحة معلومات البلاغ.
The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) succeeded at the Al-Rub' al-Khali crossing in thwarting an attempt to smuggle 8.9 kilograms of methamphetamine (shabu), which was found hidden in one of the trucks coming to the Kingdom through the crossing.
The spokesperson for ZATCA, Hamoud Al-Harbi, explained that during the customs procedures and inspection of one of the incoming trucks using security technologies, that quantity of "shabu" was found hidden beneath the truck's air tank.
Al-Harbi added that after completing the seizure process, coordination was made with the General Directorate for Drug Control, where two individuals receiving the seized items inside the Kingdom were arrested.
Al-Harbi confirmed that ZATCA is continuing to tighten customs control over the Kingdom's imports and exports, standing vigilant against the attempts of smugglers, in pursuit of one of the main pillars of its strategy, which is to enhance the security and protection of society by reducing attempts to smuggle such harmful substances and other prohibited items.
He called on everyone to contribute to combating smuggling to protect society and the national economy by contacting them at the designated security reporting number (1910) or via email (@zatca.gov.sa1910) and the international number (009661910), as the authority receives reports related to smuggling crimes and violations of the unified customs system through these channels with complete confidentiality, offering a financial reward for the informant if the information provided is accurate.
