أوضحت المديرية العامة للجوازات أن النظام يتيح تحويل تأشيرة الزيارة إلى إقامة نظامية للأطفال الذين تقل أعمارهم عن 18 عاما، وذلك في حال كان الأبوان يحملان إقامة نظامية في المملكة، وأكدت أن الإجراءات تتم وفق الضوابط والتعليمات المعمول بها.
وأكدت «الجوازات» عبر حسابها الرسمي لخدمة العملاء في منصة إكس، أن التنظيم يهدف إلى تسهيل الإجراءات النظامية للأسر المقيمة وتوحيد وضع أفرادها بما يضمن استقرارهم الأسري والاجتماعي داخل المملكة. وشددت على أهمية الالتزام بتقديم الطلبات عبر القنوات الرسمية المحددة، لضمان سرعة إنجازها ودقتها.
وجاء التوضيح ردا على استفسار أحد المقيمين، أوضح فيه أن زوجته مقيمة في المملكة ولديهما ابن يحمل تأشيرة زيارة عائلية، واستفسر عن إمكانية تحويلها إلى إقامة دائمة، وأكدت الجوازات أن ذلك ممكن ضمن الفئات المشمولة بما يتوافق مع الأنظمة والتعليمات.
The General Directorate of Passports clarified that the system allows for the conversion of a visit visa to a regular residency for children under the age of 18, provided that both parents hold regular residency in the Kingdom. It confirmed that the procedures are carried out in accordance with the applicable regulations and instructions.
The "Passports" department emphasized through its official customer service account on the X platform that the regulation aims to facilitate the legal procedures for resident families and to unify the status of its members, ensuring their family and social stability within the Kingdom. It stressed the importance of adhering to submitting applications through the specified official channels to ensure their prompt and accurate processing.
This clarification came in response to an inquiry from a resident, who explained that his wife is a resident in the Kingdom and they have a son holding a family visit visa, and he inquired about the possibility of converting it to permanent residency. The passports department confirmed that this is possible within the categories covered in accordance with the regulations and instructions.
