أكد أمير منطقة المدينة المنورة الأمير سلمان بن سلطان بن عبدالعزيز، أن المزارع الوقفية تمثل إرثًا حضاريًا أصيلًا ارتبط بعصر النبوة، وأسهمت عبر التاريخ في ترسيخ قيم العطاء المستدام وخدمة المجتمع.
جاء ذلك خلال لقاء أمير منطقة المدينة المنورة أعضاء هيئة كبار العلماء والمشاركين في حلقة النقاش بعنوان: «المزارع الوقفية.. الفرص والتحديات».
ركيزة إستراتيجية لتحقيق الأمن الغذائي
وأوضح أمير منطقة المدينة المنورة أن المزارع الوقفية اليوم تُعد ركيزة إستراتيجية لتحقيق الأمن الغذائي، وتنمية الموارد المحلية، وتوظيف التقنيات الحديثة والابتكار الزراعي، بما يعظم أثرها الاقتصادي والاجتماعي، انسجامًا مع مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030.
وأشار أمير منطقة المدينة المنورة إلى أن المنطقة، وبالتكامل مع الجهات ذات العلاقة والقطاع الخاص، تعمل على تطوير هذه المزارع الوقفية وتحويلها إلى منصات تنموية واقتصادية رائدة، تعزز استدامة الموارد، وترسخ مكانة المدينة بوصفها مركزًا عالميًا للأوقاف ومنارة حضارية للأمة والعالم.
التقرير الختامي
وتسلّم الأمير سلمان بن سلطان التقرير الختامي لتوصيات الحلقة النقاشية والمناقشات العلمية التي نُظمت بعنوان: «المزارع الوقفية.. الفرص والتحديات»، التي تضمنت حزمة من التوصيات المرتبطة بالجوانب التشريعية والتنظيمية، إضافة إلى التوصيات المتعلقة بالحوكمة المالية والمحاسبة الوقفية، فضلًا عن التوصيات الخاصة بالاستثمار والتمويل المستدام، والتقنيات الذكية والابتكار الزراعي، وكذلك الشراكات الوطنية والابتكار السياحي.
وقدم أمير منطقة المدينة المنورة شكره لأعضاء هيئة كبار العلماء والمشاركين من الخبراء والباحثين في أعمال هذه الحلقة العلمية، على ما قدموه من أوراق علمية، وما أثروا به المداخلات والنقاشات، وما أضافوه من رؤى متجددة وتجارب تثري جهود تعزيز دور المزارع الوقفية في التنمية المستدامة.

من جهتهم، أكد المشاركون أن مخرجات هذه الحلقة تمثل خارطة طريق إستراتيجية لتطوير المزارع الوقفية وتعزيز دورها في تحقيق الأمن الغذائي الوطني، وتنويع مصادر الدخل الوقفي، ورفع كفاءتها التشغيلية.
The Emir of the Medina region, Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, confirmed that the endowment farms represent a genuine cultural heritage linked to the era of Prophethood, and have historically contributed to establishing values of sustainable giving and community service.
This came during a meeting with the members of the Council of Senior Scholars and participants in the discussion session titled: "Endowment Farms... Opportunities and Challenges."
A Strategic Pillar for Achieving Food Security
The Emir of the Medina region explained that endowment farms today are considered a strategic pillar for achieving food security, developing local resources, and employing modern technologies and agricultural innovation, maximizing their economic and social impact, in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
The Emir of the Medina region pointed out that the region, in collaboration with relevant authorities and the private sector, is working on developing these endowment farms and transforming them into leading developmental and economic platforms that enhance resource sustainability and solidify the city's position as a global center for endowments and a cultural beacon for the nation and the world.
Final Report
Prince Salman bin Sultan received the final report of the recommendations from the discussion session and the scientific discussions organized under the title: "Endowment Farms... Opportunities and Challenges," which included a set of recommendations related to legislative and regulatory aspects, in addition to recommendations concerning financial governance and endowment accounting, as well as recommendations specific to sustainable investment and financing, smart technologies and agricultural innovation, as well as national partnerships and tourism innovation.
The Emir of the Medina region expressed his gratitude to the members of the Council of Senior Scholars and the participating experts and researchers in the works of this scientific session, for their contributions of scientific papers, their enriching interventions and discussions, and the fresh insights and experiences they added to enhance efforts to promote the role of endowment farms in sustainable development.
Roadmap
For their part, the participants confirmed that the outcomes of this session represent a strategic roadmap for developing endowment farms and enhancing their role in achieving national food security, diversifying endowment income sources, and improving their operational efficiency.
