وقّع مركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة والأعمال الإنسانية، في العاصمة دمشق، اتفاقية دعم مشترك مع إحدى مؤسسات المجتمع المدني لدعم سلسلة إنتاج القمح في ريف حلب الشرقي، بحضور المستشار بالديوان الملكي المشرف العام على المركز الدكتور عبدالله بن عبدالعزيز الربيعة، ووزير الطوارئ وإدارة الكوارث بسورية رائد الصالح.
وقّع الاتفاقية مساعد المشرف العام على المركز للعمليات والبرامج المهندس أحمد بن علي البيز.
وسيجري بموجب الاتفاقية تعزيز الأمن الغذائي وسبل العيش في الريف الشرقي لمحافظة حلب من خلال إعادة تفعيل سلاسل إنتاج القمح، وإعادة تأهيل البنية التحتية الزراعية للري والصرف الزراعي، فضلاً عن الإسهام في توفير بذور القمح السوري المحسنة في السوق المحلية، إضافة إلى تحسين خدمات الدعم الفني للإرشاد الزراعي والمكننة الزراعية ضمن تدخل متكامل ومرتبط جغرافياً يخدم صغار المزارعين على مساحة 2750 هكتاراً، ويستفيد منها 16500 فرد بواقع 2750 أسرة.
ويأتي ذلك في إطار الجهود الإغاثية والإنسانية التي تقدمها المملكة عبر ذراعها الإنسانية مركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة؛ لدعم القطاعات الحيوية وتحسين سبل العيش في سورية، بما يعزز الأمن الغذائي ويمكن المجتمعات المحلية من الاعتماد على مواردها الزراعية وتحقيق الاكتفاء الذاتي.
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center signed a joint support agreement in the capital, Damascus, with one of the civil society organizations to support the wheat production chain in eastern Aleppo countryside, in the presence of the advisor at the Royal Court and the General Supervisor of the Center, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah, and the Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management in Syria, Raed Al-Saleh.
The agreement was signed by the Assistant General Supervisor of the Center for Operations and Programs, Engineer Ahmed bin Ali Al-Bayez.
Under the agreement, food security and livelihoods in the eastern countryside of Aleppo Governorate will be enhanced by reactivating wheat production chains and rehabilitating agricultural infrastructure for irrigation and agricultural drainage, as well as contributing to the provision of improved Syrian wheat seeds in the local market. Additionally, it aims to improve technical support services for agricultural guidance and agricultural mechanization within an integrated and geographically linked intervention that serves small farmers over an area of 2,750 hectares, benefiting 16,500 individuals, equivalent to 2,750 families.
This initiative is part of the humanitarian and relief efforts provided by the Kingdom through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, to support vital sectors and improve livelihoods in Syria, thereby enhancing food security and enabling local communities to rely on their agricultural resources and achieve self-sufficiency.
