كشفت وزارة الشؤون الإسلامية اختلاس كهرباء من عداد أحد المساجد بمنطقة جازان في محافظة صبيا، قام بها أحد المقيمين عبر تمديد موصل كهربائي من العداد ودفنه في الأرض لتشغيل منزله بالكامل اختلاسًا من كهرباء المسجد.
وقد باشرت الجهة المختصة في الوزارة الواقعة على الفور، وتمت إزالة الاختلاس مباشرة، ورفعت القضية للجهات المختصة لاتخاذ ما يلزم بحق المقيم المتسبب، بما في ذلك محاسبته وإلزامه بسداد كامل الاستهلاك الكهربائي السابق الذي تم اختلاسه، مؤكدة أنها لن تتهاون مع أي اختلاسات أو عبث بمرافق المساجد، وستتعامل معها بكل حزم وصرامة.
وحثّت الوزارة المواطنين والمقيمين على الإبلاغ عن أي مخالفات عبر الرقم الموحد (1933)، حفاظًا على حرمة المساجد ومنعًا لاستغلال مرافقها.
The Ministry of Islamic Affairs revealed the theft of electricity from the meter of a mosque in the Jazan region in the Sabya governorate, carried out by one of the residents who extended an electrical conductor from the meter and buried it in the ground to power his entire home, stealing electricity from the mosque.
The relevant authority in the ministry immediately addressed the incident, and the theft was removed directly. The case was referred to the competent authorities to take necessary action against the responsible resident, including holding him accountable and requiring him to pay the full amount of the electricity consumption that was stolen. The ministry emphasized that it will not tolerate any thefts or tampering with mosque facilities and will deal with such matters firmly and strictly.
The ministry urged citizens and residents to report any violations via the unified number (1933), in order to preserve the sanctity of mosques and prevent the exploitation of their facilities.
