تحت رعاية خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، ونيابة عنه؛ افتتح نائب أمير منطقة مكة المكرمة الأمير سعود بن مشعل بن عبدالعزيز، مؤتمر «مسؤوليَّة الجامعات في تعزيز القيم والوعي الفكري»، الذي تنظمه جامعة أم القرى، لمدة ثلاثة أيام، خلال الفترة من 25-27 أغسطس 2025، في المدينة الجامعية بالعابدية، بحضور وزير التعليم رئيس مجلس شؤون الجامعات يوسف البنيان، وعدد من مسؤولي الجهات ذات العلاقة.
ودشّن الأمير سعود بن مشعل خلال افتتاح أعمال المؤتمر منصتَي «مستشارك» و«وعي»، بعد نجاح المرحلة التجريبية لهما، وتهدف الأولى إلى تقديم الاستشارات المجانية عن بُعد في المجالات التربوية والاجتماعية والتطويرية والصحة النفسية بسرية تامة، عبر نخبة من أعضاء هيئة التدريس المتخصصين وذوي الخبرة، فيما خُصصت منصة «وعي» لاستقبال الملاحظات المتعلقة بالمخالفات الفكرية أو السلوكيات المتطرفة أو الظواهر السلبية.
ويهدف المؤتمر إلى إبراز دور المملكة في تعزيز القيم الإنسانية والوعي الفكري، وتبادل الخبرات وتنظيم المبادرات المشتركة بين الجامعات السعودية والقطاعات ذات العلاقة، وإبراز دور الجامعات تجاه دعم مؤسسات التنشئة الاجتماعية، ووضع حلول لأبرز التحديات المعاصرة التي تواجه القيم والوعي الفكري، إضافة إلى رسم رؤية استشرافية لمسؤولية الجامعات السعودية في ذلك.
وأكد رئيس جامعة أم القرى الدكتور معدي بن محمد آل مذهب أن المؤتمر يجسّد الدور المحوري الذي تقوم به الجامعات السعودية في ترسيخ القيم وتعزيز الوعي الفكري لدى المجتمع الجامعي، مشيراً إلى أن رعاية خادم الحرمين الشريفين للمؤتمر تمثل دعماً كبيراً لمسيرة التعليم في المملكة، وتحفيزاً لمؤسساتها الأكاديمية للقيام بمسؤولياتها الوطنية والفكرية، مضيفاً أن تدشين منصتي «مستشارك الإلكتروني» و«وعي» يأتي ضمن جهود الجامعة في بناء بيئة جامعية آمنة فكريّاً، وتمكين منسوبيها من الإسهام في حماية الفكر وصون القيم والحصول على الاستشارات التي تعزز مناعة المجتمع ضد الأفكار المنحرفة.
ويتضمن المؤتمر 5 جلسات علمية، وورش عمل، وحلقات نقاش، يُشارك فيها 24 متحدثاً من الأكاديميين والخبراء والمفكرين، يتناولون من خلالها خمسة محاور رئيسية، وهي؛ جهود الجامعات السعودية في تعزيز القيم الإنسانية، تجارب الجامعات السعودية في تعزيز القيم والوعي الفكري، مسؤولية الجامعات السعودية في تعزيز القيم والوعي الفكري في المجتمع ومؤسساته، دور الجامعات السعودية في مواجهة التحديات التي تواجه القيم والوعي الفكري، استشراف المستقبل لمسؤولية الجامعات السعودية في تعزيز القيم والوعي الفكري في ضوء رؤية السعودية 2030.
Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and on his behalf; the Deputy Emir of the Makkah Region, Prince Saud bin Mishal bin Abdulaziz, inaugurated the conference titled "The Responsibility of Universities in Promoting Values and Intellectual Awareness," organized by Umm Al-Qura University, for three days, from August 25-27, 2025, at the university city in Al-Abdiyyah, in the presence of the Minister of Education and Chairman of the Council of University Affairs, Yusuf Al-Bunyan, along with several officials from relevant entities.
During the opening of the conference, Prince Saud bin Mishal launched the two platforms "Your Consultant" and "Awareness," following the successful pilot phase of both. The first aims to provide free remote consultations in educational, social, developmental, and mental health fields with complete confidentiality, through a select group of specialized and experienced faculty members, while the "Awareness" platform is dedicated to receiving feedback related to intellectual violations, extremist behaviors, or negative phenomena.
The conference aims to highlight the Kingdom's role in promoting human values and intellectual awareness, exchanging experiences, and organizing joint initiatives between Saudi universities and relevant sectors, as well as showcasing the role of universities in supporting socialization institutions, and developing solutions to the most prominent contemporary challenges facing values and intellectual awareness, in addition to outlining a visionary perspective on the responsibility of Saudi universities in this regard.
Dr. Maadi bin Mohammed Al-Mudhhib, President of Umm Al-Qura University, confirmed that the conference embodies the pivotal role that Saudi universities play in instilling values and enhancing intellectual awareness within the university community, noting that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' sponsorship of the conference represents significant support for the educational journey in the Kingdom, and encourages its academic institutions to fulfill their national and intellectual responsibilities. He added that the launch of the "Your Electronic Consultant" and "Awareness" platforms is part of the university's efforts to build a safe intellectual environment on campus, enabling its members to contribute to protecting thought and preserving values, as well as obtaining consultations that enhance the community's immunity against deviant ideas.
The conference includes 5 scientific sessions, workshops, and discussion panels, featuring 24 speakers from academics, experts, and thinkers, who will address five main themes: the efforts of Saudi universities in promoting human values, the experiences of Saudi universities in enhancing values and intellectual awareness, the responsibility of Saudi universities in promoting values and intellectual awareness in society and its institutions, the role of Saudi universities in facing the challenges confronting values and intellectual awareness, and a forward-looking perspective on the responsibility of Saudi universities in promoting values and intellectual awareness in light of Saudi Vision 2030.
