أعربت وزارة الخارجية عن ترحيب السعودية بإعلان أستراليا عزمها الاعتراف بالدولة الفلسطينية، وإعلان نيوزيلندا دراستها الاعتراف بالدولة الفلسطينية، وتشيد المملكة بالإجماع الدولي الداعم لمسار تنفيذ حل الدولتين وإقامة الدولة الفلسطينية المستقلة على حدود 1967 وعاصمتها القدس الشرقية.
وأكدت المملكة أن المرحلة الحالية تحتم على محبي السلام الاعتراف بالدولة الفلسطينية، ودعم جهود وقف الحرب التي طال أمدها، خصوصا في ظل استمرار الانتهاكات الإسرائيلية للقانون الدولي والقانون الدولي الإنساني.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Saudi Arabia's welcome to Australia's announcement of its intention to recognize the State of Palestine, and New Zealand's announcement of its consideration to recognize the State of Palestine. The Kingdom commends the international consensus supporting the implementation of the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The Kingdom affirmed that the current phase necessitates that peace lovers recognize the State of Palestine and support efforts to end the prolonged war, especially in light of the ongoing Israeli violations of international law and international humanitarian law.
