The Eastern Province Municipality, represented by the Dhahran Municipality, has implemented an innovative project that involves installing "water mist" systems in several public parks and walking paths, marking its first experience.

This project is part of the municipality's initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life, one of the programs of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to provide a sustainable environment, enhance urban humanization, and raise the level of residents' well-being.

The head of the Dhahran Municipality, Engineer Faisal bin Abdulhadi Al-Qahtani, explained that the project is a practical response to the recurring increases in temperatures, especially during the summer season. The mist system relies on spraying a fine mist of water in specific locations within the parks and walking paths, contributing to cooling the surrounding air and improving the experience for visitors.

Al-Qahtani indicated that this experience aims to enhance the attractiveness of the parks and walking paths and increase their visitor rates, noting that the municipality is working on evaluating the results of the first phase in preparation for expanding the project to include additional locations in the city of Dhahran, as part of a comprehensive development plan that aligns with the municipality's aspirations to build more sustainable and comfortable cities for their residents.
