The details of the crime date back to last Friday evening when Mohammed Al-Qasim (20 years old), who was studying English in Cambridge, was stabbed in Mill Park while walking back to his residence as part of a 10-week training program, collapsing in a pool of his own blood before the paramedics' attempts to save him failed.

Cambridge police announced in an official statement today (Monday) that a charge of murder and possession of a knife in a public place has been brought against a 21-year-old local man, confirming that he will appear before the Peterborough Magistrates' Court. A man in his fifties has also been arrested on suspicion of assisting the perpetrator and remains under investigation, while police continue to search for a third suspect.

The police clarified that they received a report at 11:27 PM about an incident of violence in the park, and the death was officially announced at 12:01 AM.
