حقق المنتخب السعودي للمعلوماتية 3 جوائز دولية في النسخة السابعة والثلاثين من أولمبياد المعلوماتية الدولي (IOI 2025)، الذي استضافته مدينة سوكري البوليفية من 27 يوليو إلى 3 أغسطس الجاري، بمشاركة 334 طالبًا وطالبة يمثلون 86 دولة.
وأفادت مؤسسة «موهبة» أن الطالب محمد ناصر الأسمري من تعليم الهيئة الملكية بالجبيل حصل على ميدالية برونزية، فيما حصل الطالب عماد علي الحربي من تعليم القصيم، والطالب سلطان عبدالرحمن العيبان من تعليم الرياض، على شهادتي تقدير.
وأوضحت «موهبة» أن رصيد المملكة في مشاركاتها السبع بأولمبياد المعلوماتية الدولي ارتفع إلى 11 جائزة دولية، منها 7 ميداليات برونزية، و4 شهادات تقدير، وذلك منذ انضمامها إلى المسابقة في عام 2019، مما يعكس تطور مستوى الأداء الوطني في مجالات علوم الحاسب والبرمجة.
وتأتي المشاركة ضمن برنامج موهبة للأولمبيادات الدولية الذي تنفذه «موهبة» بالشراكة الإستراتيجية مع وزارة التعليم؛ بهدف تأهيل وتمكين الطلبة السعوديين للمنافسة في المحافل العلمية العالمية، من خلال برامج تدريبية مكثفة يشرف عليها نخبة من الخبراء المحليين والدوليين.
ويُعدُّ أولمبياد المعلوماتية الدولي من أعرق المسابقات السنوية العالمية في مجال البرمجة وعلوم الحاسب لطلاب المرحلة الثانوية، وقد انطلقت أولى دوراته في عام 1989م بجمهورية بلغاريا، ويتضمن المنافسات على مدار يومين لحل مسائل خوارزمية معقدة، ضمن بيئة اختبارية فردية دقيقة دون استخدام أي مصادر خارجية.
The Saudi Information Technology team achieved 3 international awards at the 37th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2025), which was hosted in the city of Sucre, Bolivia, from July 27 to August 3, with the participation of 334 students representing 86 countries.
The "Mawhiba" Foundation reported that student Mohammed Nasser Al-Asmeri from the Royal Commission for Jubail Education won a bronze medal, while student Imad Ali Al-Harbi from Qassim Education and student Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Aiban from Riyadh Education received certificates of appreciation.
"Mawhiba" clarified that the Kingdom's tally in its seven participations in the International Olympiad in Informatics has risen to 11 international awards, including 7 bronze medals and 4 certificates of appreciation, since joining the competition in 2019, reflecting the development of the national performance level in the fields of computer science and programming.
This participation is part of Mawhiba's program for international Olympiads, which is implemented in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Education, aimed at qualifying and empowering Saudi students to compete in global scientific forums through intensive training programs supervised by a select group of local and international experts.
The International Olympiad in Informatics is one of the most prestigious annual global competitions in the field of programming and computer science for high school students, with its first edition launched in 1989 in the Republic of Bulgaria. The competition spans two days, focusing on solving complex algorithmic problems in a precise individual testing environment without the use of any external resources.
