وزير الداخلية يزور «الإنتربول»

Today, Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz visited the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) in Lyon, France, where he was received by its President, Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi.

During the visit, he affirmed the Kingdom's ongoing support for Interpol and its efforts to enhance international cooperation in combating transnational crime, noting that this visit came at the direction of the wise leadership as part of the Kingdom's commitment to supporting international cooperation in security matters.

Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud praised the role played by Interpol in supporting international security efforts and enhancing cooperation among security agencies worldwide, contributing to the preservation of international peace and stability.

For his part, Major General Dr. Ahmed Al Raisi expressed his gratitude to Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud for his keen interest in strengthening the partnership with the organization and for the qualitative initiatives provided by the Kingdom that contributed to the development of crime-fighting tools and enhancing security at both regional and international levels.

During the visit, ways to enhance partnership, coordination, and exchange of expertise between the Ministry of Interior and the organization in combating transnational crime and addressing emerging security challenges were discussed, in addition to discussing joint initiatives in the fields of training and capacity development.

The Minister of Interior was briefed on the key programs and initiatives implemented by the organization, as well as the security operations center, noting the technical and human capabilities he observed.

The visit was attended by Assistant Minister of Interior Dr. Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al-Falih, the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the French Republic Fahd bin Ma'ayouf Al-Ruwaili, Director General of the Minister's Office for Studies and Research Major General Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Arawan, Supervisor of the International Partnerships Program Major General Mohammed bin Ali Al-Habdan, Director General of the General Administration for Legal Affairs and International Cooperation Ahmed bin Suleiman Al-Essa, and Director General of International Police (Interpol Saudi Arabia) Brigadier General Abdulmalik Ibrahim Al-Suqaih.
