وجّه أمير منطقة الباحة الأمير الدكتور حسام بن سعود بن عبدالعزيز، بتمديد فعاليات مهرجان العسل الدولي الـ17، المقام بمتنزه غابة رغدان، لمدة خمسة أيام إضافية حتى السبت 4 أغسطس 2025، نظير ما يشهده المهرجان من إقبال متزايد من الزوار من داخل المنطقة وخارجها، واستجابة لرغبة المشاركين من النحالين والعارضين.
ويأتي توجيه أمير منطقة الباحة دعما لجهود النحالين والمشاركين، وتعزيزا لمشاركتهم في عرض وترويج منتجات العسل المحلي، بما يسهم في تنشيط الحركة الاقتصادية والسياحية بالمنطقة، وترسيخ مكانة الباحة وجهة رائدة لإنتاج العسل الطبيعي بالمملكة.
وأشاد أمير الباحة بجهود وزارة البيئة والمياه والزراعة في تنظيم المهرجان، ودورها الفاعل في دعم النحالين والمزارعين، والعمل على تعزيز التنمية الريفية المستدامة في المنطقة، بما يتماشى مع مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030.
من جهته عبّر مدير فرع وزارة البيئة والمياه والزراعة بالمنطقة المهندس فهد مفتاح الزهراني عن شكره وتقديره لأمير المنطقة على توجيهه واهتمامه الدائم بدعم قطاع النحل والعسل، الذي يُعد من أبرز القطاعات الزراعية الواعدة في المنطقة.
وأشار إلى أن مهرجان العسل يُعد منصة تسويقية مهمة للنحالين لعرض منتجاتهم، ويتيح للزوار فرصة التعرف على تنوّع وجودة العسل المنتج محليا، مؤكّدا حرص الوزارة على تطبيق إجراءات فنية دقيقة لفحص العسل المعروض لضمان الجودة وسلامة المنتج، بما يعزّز ثقة المستهلك ويحفظ سمعة المنتج المحلي.
وأفاد المهندس الزهراني بأن فرع الوزارة يواصل تقديم الدعم والإرشاد الفني للنحالين، وتطوير القطاع وفق أفضل الممارسات العالمية، مشيرا إلى أن تمديد فترة المهرجان يمثل حافزا إضافيا لمزيد من النجاح والمشاركة المجتمعية.
ويواصل مهرجان العسل استقبال زواره يوميا وسط أجواء صيفية نابضة بالحياة، يشهد خلالها حضورا واسعا لأركان العسل ومنتجاته، إلى جانب فعاليات متنوعة ضمن برنامج «صيف الباحة 2025»، ما يجعله وجهة سياحية وثقافية متميزة للعائلات والزوار من مختلف مناطق المملكة.
The Prince of Al-Baha Region, Prince Dr. Hussam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, has directed the extension of the 17th International Honey Festival, held at the Raghadan Forest Park, for an additional five days until Saturday, August 4, 2025, in light of the increasing turnout of visitors from within and outside the region, and in response to the requests of participating beekeepers and exhibitors.
This directive from the Prince of Al-Baha supports the efforts of beekeepers and participants, enhancing their participation in showcasing and promoting local honey products, which contributes to stimulating the economic and tourism activity in the region, and solidifying Al-Baha's position as a leading destination for natural honey production in the Kingdom.
The Prince of Al-Baha praised the efforts of the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture in organizing the festival, and its active role in supporting beekeepers and farmers, working to enhance sustainable rural development in the region, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
For his part, the Director of the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture branch in the region, Engineer Fahd Muftah Al-Zahrani, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Prince of the region for his directives and ongoing interest in supporting the beekeeping and honey sector, which is considered one of the most promising agricultural sectors in the region.
He pointed out that the Honey Festival serves as an important marketing platform for beekeepers to showcase their products, and it provides visitors with the opportunity to learn about the diversity and quality of locally produced honey, emphasizing the ministry's commitment to implementing precise technical procedures for testing the displayed honey to ensure quality and product safety, which enhances consumer confidence and preserves the reputation of local products.
Engineer Al-Zahrani stated that the ministry branch continues to provide support and technical guidance to beekeepers, developing the sector according to the best global practices, noting that the extension of the festival period represents an additional incentive for further success and community participation.
The Honey Festival continues to welcome its visitors daily amidst vibrant summer atmospheres, witnessing a wide presence of honey stalls and products, along with various activities as part of the "Summer of Al-Baha 2025" program, making it a distinguished tourist and cultural destination for families and visitors from different regions of the Kingdom.
