أعربت منظمة التعاون الإسلامي عن رفضها وإدانتها الشديدة لمطالبة «الكنيست» الإسرائيلي بفرض السيطرة على الضفة الغربية، معتبرة ذلك تصعيداً خطيراً يستهدف ترسيخ الاحتلال الاستعماري غير الشرعي وتقويض حلّ الدولتين.
وأكّدت المنظمة أن لا سيادة لإسرائيل على الأرض الفلسطينية المحتلة، بما فيها القدس الشرقية، وأن وجود الاحتلال والاستيطان الاستعماري الإسرائيلي غير شرعي ويجب إنهاؤه بموجب القانون الدولي وقرارات الأمم المتحدة ذات الصلة، والفتوى الصادرة عن محكمة العدل الدولية.
وجدّدت المنظمة دعوتها للمجتمع الدولي إلى تحمل مسؤولياته، واتخاذ الإجراءات السياسية والقانونية اللازمة لدعم حقوق الشعب الفلسطيني غير القابلة للتصرف، بما في ذلك الاعتراف بدولة فلسطين، ودعم عضويتها الكاملة في الأمم المتحدة، والعمل على إنهاء الاحتلال الاستعماري غير الشرعي للأرض الفلسطينية المحتلة.
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation expressed its strong rejection and condemnation of the Israeli "Knesset" demand to impose control over the West Bank, considering this a serious escalation aimed at entrenching the illegal colonial occupation and undermining the two-state solution.
The organization affirmed that Israel has no sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem, and that the presence of Israeli colonial occupation and settlement is illegal and must be ended in accordance with international law and relevant United Nations resolutions, as well as the advisory opinion issued by the International Court of Justice.
The organization reiterated its call for the international community to assume its responsibilities and take the necessary political and legal measures to support the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, including recognizing the State of Palestine, supporting its full membership in the United Nations, and working to end the illegal colonial occupation of the occupied Palestinian territories.
