أعربت وزارة الخارجية عن إدانة المملكة العربية السعودية واستنكارها بأشدّ العبارات لمطالبة الكنيست الإسرائيلي بفرض السيطرة على الضفة الغربية والأغوار الفلسطينية المحتلة، الذي يُعد انتهاكاً صارخاً للقوانين الدولية وقرارات الأمم المتحدة.
وقالت: إن مثل هذه الخطوات الاستفزازية لسلطات الاحتلال الإسرائيلية تقوّض جهود إحلال السلام من خلال حلّ الدولتين، وتؤكّد إصرارها على التخريب والدمار.
وأكّدت المملكة رفضها التام لانتهاكات سلطات الاحتلال الإسرائيلية ضدّ الشعب الفلسطيني الشقيق وحقوقه، وفي مقدمتها حقّ تقرير المصير، داعية المجتمع الدولي لاتخاذ الخطوات الجادة لإنفاذ القرارات الأممية التي تدعم الحق الأصيل للشعب الفلسطيني بالعيش بكرامة على أرضه ضمن دولته المستقلة على حدود عام 1967 وعاصمتها القدس الشريف.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's condemnation and denunciation in the strongest terms of the Israeli Knesset's demand to impose control over the occupied West Bank and Palestinian Jordan Valley, which constitutes a blatant violation of international laws and United Nations resolutions.
It stated that such provocative steps by the Israeli occupation authorities undermine efforts to achieve peace through the two-state solution and confirm their insistence on sabotage and destruction.
The Kingdom affirmed its complete rejection of the violations by the Israeli occupation authorities against the brotherly Palestinian people and their rights, foremost among which is the right to self-determination, calling on the international community to take serious steps to enforce the UN resolutions that support the Palestinian people's legitimate right to live in dignity on their land within their independent state along the 1967 borders, with Jerusalem as its capital.
