أصدرت وزارة الداخلية اليوم بياناً بشأن تنفيذ حكم القتل حداً في سيف الرحمن -بنغلاديشي الجنسية- لإقدامه على قتل زوجته رابيا أختر -بنغلاديشية الجنسية- وذلك باستدراجها إلى مكان خارج العمران والاعتداء عليها بالضرب، وكتم أنفاسها، وضربها بأداة حادة في مواضع متفرقة من جسدها، ما أدى إلى وفاتها.
وبفضلٍ من الله، تمكّنت الجهات الأمنية من القبض على الجاني المذكور، وأسفر التحقيق معه عن توجيه الاتهام إليه بارتكاب الجريمة، وبإحالته إلى المحكمة المختصة صدر بحقه حكمٌ يقضي بثبوت ما نسب إليه، وأن قتله المجني عليها على وجه الحيلة والخداع وتأمن معه من غائلته، وقتله حداً للغيلة، وأصبح الحكم نهائياً بعد استئنافه ثم تأييده من المحكمة العليا، وصدر أمر ملكي بإنفاذ ما تقرر شرعاً.
وقد تم تنفيذ حكم القتل حداً بالجاني اليوم (الخميس) بتاريخ 22 / 1 / 1447 الموافق 17 / 7 / 2025 بمنطقة المدينة المنورة.
ووزارة الداخلية إذ تعلن عن ذلك، لتؤكد للجميع حرص حكومة المملكة العربية السعودية على استتباب الأمن، وتحقيق العدل، وتنفيذ أحكام الشريعة الإسلامية في كل من يتعدى على الآمنين ويسفك دماءهم وينتهك حقهم في الحياة والأمن، وتحذّر في الوقت نفسه كل من تسوّل له نفسه الإقدام على مثل ذلك بأن العقاب الشرعي سيكون مصيره.
The Ministry of Interior issued a statement today regarding the implementation of the death penalty for Sayeed Rahman - a Bangladeshi national - for his act of killing his wife Rabia Akhtar - also a Bangladeshi national - by luring her to a location outside the urban area and assaulting her, choking her, and striking her with a sharp object in various parts of her body, which led to her death.
Thanks to God, the security authorities were able to apprehend the aforementioned perpetrator, and the investigation with him resulted in charges being brought against him for committing the crime. He was referred to the competent court, which issued a ruling confirming the charges against him, stating that he killed the victim through deceit and trickery while ensuring his safety from her retaliation, and that he was sentenced to death for this premeditated murder. The ruling became final after being appealed and upheld by the Supreme Court, and a royal order was issued to enforce what was legally decided.
The death penalty was carried out against the perpetrator today (Thursday), on the 22nd of Safar, 1447 AH, corresponding to the 17th of July, 2025, in the Medina region.
The Ministry of Interior, in announcing this, reaffirms the commitment of the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to maintaining security, achieving justice, and implementing Islamic law against anyone who transgresses against the safe, sheds their blood, and violates their right to life and security. At the same time, it warns anyone who might contemplate such actions that the legal punishment will be their fate.
