The Municipality of Al-Namas Governorate organized the "Popular Teams" event in the heritage village of Al-Madana in the Wadi Zaid center, as part of the Summer Activities of Al-Namas 2025. This event featured a remarkable participation from the Al-Hajar Men’s Folklore Group, which presented folkloric performances that varied between the arts of "Al-Madqal," "Al-Ardah," and "Al-Lab," amidst a large audience of visitors and vacationers. The head of the group, Awad bin Zahra Al-Zaidani, explained that the group's participation is part of a comprehensive summer plan aimed at reviving folk arts in several locations throughout the governorate. He pointed out that the "Al-Hajar" group was established over 35 years ago and has official recognition, having participated in numerous national events both inside and outside the Kingdom during its journey. This event is one of a series of activities organized by the Al-Namas Municipality in cooperation with the Asir Region Municipality to enhance tourism and cultural attraction in the governorate and to highlight the treasures of local heritage during the summer season.
