زار وفد منظومة التقنية والابتكار والفضاء، برئاسة وزير الاتصالات وتقنية المعلومات المهندس عبدالله بن عامر السواحة؛ أبرز الشركات والمراكز البحثية البريطانية الرائدة في مجالات التقنية العميقة والاتصال الفضائي، وذلك ضمن سلسلة من الزيارات والاجتماعات الرسمية إلى المملكة المتحدة.
وزار الوفد شركة «Wayve»، المتخصصة في تقنيات القيادة الذاتية المدعومة بالذكاء الاصطناعي، إذ اطّلع على الجيل الجديد من حلول التنقل الذكي «AV2.0»، وزار شركة «Automata Technologies»، المتخصصة في أتمتة المختبرات باستخدام الروبوتات، واطّلع على منصة «LINQ» التي توظف الذكاء الاصطناعي لتسريع البحوث والتشخيصات المخبرية، في خطوة تفتح آفاق التعاون في تقنيات الرعاية الصحية الرقمية والأبحاث الحيوية.
والتقى الوفد قيادات كل من «Catatpault»، إذ ناقش آفاق الشراكة في دعم الشركات الناشئة، وتسريع تبني التقنيات العميقة، وتمكين المبتكرين السعوديين، وعقد اجتماعاً مع شركة «OneWeb»، المتخصصة في توفير خدمات الاتصال عريض النطاق عبر أقمار صناعية في المدار الأرضي المنخفض «LEO»، إذ ناقش الطرفان مشاريع الربط عالي السرعة للقطاعات الحيوية، وفرص الشراكة لتطوير حلول اتصال متقدمة تدعم منظومتي الابتكار والفضاء، وتمكّن من تطوير الخدمات في مجالات النقل والطاقة والصناعة والتعليم.
وتأتي هذه الزيارة ضمن جهود المملكة لتوطين التقنيات المستقبلية، وتعزيز مكانتها مركزاً عالمياً للابتكار والتقنية، تماشياً مع مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030.
A delegation from the Technology, Innovation, and Space System, headed by the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Engineer Abdullah bin Amer Al-Swaha, visited prominent British companies and research centers leading in the fields of deep technology and space communication, as part of a series of official visits and meetings to the United Kingdom.
The delegation visited "Wayve," a company specializing in self-driving technologies supported by artificial intelligence, where they learned about the new generation of smart mobility solutions "AV2.0." They also visited "Automata Technologies," which specializes in laboratory automation using robotics, and explored the "LINQ" platform that employs artificial intelligence to accelerate research and laboratory diagnostics, in a step that opens up avenues for collaboration in digital healthcare technologies and biomedical research.
The delegation met with leaders from "Catapult," discussing partnership prospects to support startups, accelerate the adoption of deep technologies, and empower Saudi innovators. They held a meeting with "OneWeb," a company specializing in providing broadband communication services via low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites, where both parties discussed high-speed connectivity projects for vital sectors and partnership opportunities to develop advanced communication solutions that support the innovation and space ecosystems, enabling the development of services in transportation, energy, industry, and education.
This visit is part of the Kingdom's efforts to localize future technologies and enhance its position as a global center for innovation and technology, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
