دشّن محافظ صبيا الدكتور سلطان بن عجمي بن منيخر حملة «لقمتنا ما تنرمي»، بحضور وفد من جمعية إحسان لحفظ النعمة، برئاسة نائب رئيس مجلس الإدارة، المهندس أحمد بن سالم خواجي، وعدد من أعضاء مجلس الإدارة.
وتهدف الحملة إلى مكافحة مظاهر الإسراف والتبذير في الولائم والمناسبات الاجتماعية، خاصة حفلات الزفاف بالإجازة الصيفية وتشجيع المجتمع على الاستخدام المسؤول للطعام وتقليل الفائض منه، وأكد محافظ صبيا أن الحملة تعكس القيم الإسلامية والاجتماعية التي تحث على الاعتدال وعدم الإسراف، وشكر النعمة بالمحافظة عليها، مشدداً على ضرورة تكاتف الجهود المجتمعية، خاصة في موسم الزواجات الذي يشهد عادة إسرافاً في الولائم، وارتفاعاً في حجم الفاقد الغذائي.
وتتضمن الحملة برامج توعوية ميدانية، ونشرات تثقيفية، وتعاوناً مع الأسر والجهات المنظمة لحفلات الزواج لتقليل الفاقد.
وأوضح المهندس أحمد سالم خواجي أن الحملة تأتي تماشياً مع رؤية المملكة 2030، التي تدعو إلى رفع الوعي المجتمعي بالسلوكيات الإيجابية في المناسبات بالإجازة الصيفية، وتقليل الهدر، داعين الأهالي إلى تبنّي ممارسات مسؤولة تسهم في احترام النعمة وحفظها.
The Governor of Sabya, Dr. Sultan bin Ajmi bin Munkhir, launched the campaign "Our Bite Should Not Be Wasted," in the presence of a delegation from the Ihsan Association for Preserving Blessings, headed by the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, Engineer Ahmed bin Salem Khawaji, along with several board members.
The campaign aims to combat the manifestations of extravagance and wastefulness in banquets and social events, especially wedding parties during the summer vacation, and to encourage the community to use food responsibly and reduce surplus. The Governor of Sabya emphasized that the campaign reflects Islamic and social values that advocate moderation and discourage wastefulness, and to be grateful for blessings by preserving them. He stressed the need for community efforts, especially during the wedding season, which typically sees extravagance in banquets and an increase in food waste.
The campaign includes field awareness programs, educational brochures, and collaboration with families and organizations that organize wedding parties to reduce waste.
Engineer Ahmed Salem Khawaji explained that the campaign aligns with the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which calls for raising community awareness of positive behaviors during events in the summer vacation and reducing waste, urging families to adopt responsible practices that contribute to respecting and preserving blessings.
