ترأس مجلس شؤون الأسرة وفد المملكة المشارك في الاجتماع التشاوري الثالث لمجموعة عمل تمكين المرأة (EWWG)، ضمن إطار مجموعة العشرين(G20)، والذي تستضيفه جمهورية جنوب أفريقيا.
واستعرضت رئيس الوفد المشارك، الأمين العام لمجلس شؤون الأسرة الدكتورة ميمونة آل خليل، في كلمة المملكة أبرز الجهود الوطنية لتعزيز مشاركة المرأة في سوق العمل، وتوسيع نطاق الشمول المالي، وتمكين المرأة في مجالات العلوم والتقنية، إلى جانب السياسات الداعمة لاقتصاد الرعاية، والتشريعات الموجهة لمكافحة العنف القائم على نوع الجنس، بما يعكس التزام المملكة بمبادئ التمكين والمساواة ضمن مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030.
و أكدت في كلمتها على أهمية التكامل بين التمكين الاقتصادي والأسري، ودعت إلى إدراج قيمة اقتصاد الرعاية ضمن أطر التخطيط الوطني ومؤشرات الناتج المحلي، كما وضحت الدور الريادي الذي يقوم به المجلس في دمج منظور الأسرة في الاستراتيجيات التي تدعم التوازن بين العمل والحياة والتنمية المجتمعية الشاملة.
تأتي مشاركة المجلس في هذه الاجتماعات تأكيداً على دوره الوطني في ملف المرأة، وامتداداً لمسؤولياته التمثيلية في المحافل الدولية ذات العلاقة بشؤون الأسرة، وحرص المملكة على الإسهام في صياغة توصيات السياسات العالمية الداعمة للمرأة والأسرة على حد سواء.
The Family Affairs Council chaired the delegation of the Kingdom participating in the third consultative meeting of the Empowering Women Working Group (EWWG), within the framework of the G20, hosted by the Republic of South Africa.
The head of the participating delegation, the Secretary-General of the Family Affairs Council, Dr. Maimouna Al-Khalil, highlighted in her speech on behalf of the Kingdom the key national efforts to enhance women's participation in the labor market, expand the scope of financial inclusion, and empower women in the fields of science and technology, alongside supportive policies for the care economy and legislation aimed at combating gender-based violence, reflecting the Kingdom's commitment to the principles of empowerment and equality within the targets of Saudi Vision 2030.
In her speech, she emphasized the importance of integration between economic and family empowerment, calling for the inclusion of the value of the care economy within national planning frameworks and GDP indicators. She also clarified the pioneering role played by the council in integrating the family perspective into strategies that support the balance between work and life and comprehensive community development.
The council's participation in these meetings reaffirms its national role in women's issues and extends its representative responsibilities in international forums related to family affairs, as well as the Kingdom's commitment to contributing to the formulation of global policy recommendations that support both women and families.
