بدأ وزير البلديات والإسكان ماجد بن عبدالله الحقيل، اليوم، زيارة تفقدية لمتابعة المشاريع التنموية والخدمية في المنطقة الشرقية، وذلك في إطار الحرص على متابعة تنفيذ المشاريع ميدانيّاً، وتعزيز الكفاءة التشغيلية، وتحقيق مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030 في بناء مدن أكثر حيوية واستدامة وجودة حياة.
وتشمل الزيارة عدداً من المحطات الرئيسية، من أبرزها توقيع عقود استثمارية كبرى تتجاوز قيمتها الإجمالية 2 مليار ريال، وتدشين مشاريع نوعية ضمن مبادرات جودة الحياة، تشمل تطوير الكورنيش، وأنسنة الشوارع، وتحسين الجذب السياحي.
ويُدشّن الحقيل، خلال الزيارة، وجهة لازورد في الخبر، التي تُعد من أبرز المشاريع الحضرية الجديدة على الساحل الشرقي، وتُجسّد مفاهيم المدن النابضة بالحياة، من خلال تصميم عمراني جاذب وخدمات ترفيهية وسياحية متكاملة، تسهم في رفع جودة الحياة وتعزيز مكانة المنطقة وجهةً استثماريةً وسياحية.
كما تتضمن الزيارة جولات ميدانية على مشاريع حضرية واستثمارية في الدمام والخبر والجبيل، إلى جانب لقاءات مع قيادات أمانة المنطقة الشرقية، ومجموعة من المستثمرين ورجال الأعمال من داخل المملكة وخارجها؛ بهدف دعم الشراكات وتمكين البيئة الاستثمارية.
يذكر أن المنطقة الشرقية تشهد حراكاً تنمويّاً متسارعاً، تقوده الأمانة بالشراكة مع القطاعين العام والخاص، أسفر عن استثمار أكثر من 95% من أصولها، عبر أكثر من 5,000 عقد استثماري، وبإيرادات سنوية تتجاوز 2 مليار ريال.
Today, the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hoqail, began an inspection visit to follow up on development and service projects in the Eastern Province. This visit is part of the commitment to monitor the implementation of projects on the ground, enhance operational efficiency, and achieve the targets of Saudi Vision 2030 in building more vibrant, sustainable cities with a high quality of life.
The visit includes several key stops, the most notable of which is the signing of major investment contracts totaling over 2 billion riyals, and the launching of quality projects within the Quality of Life initiatives, which include the development of the corniche, humanizing the streets, and improving tourist attraction.
During the visit, Al-Hoqail will inaugurate the Lazurde destination in Khobar, which is considered one of the most prominent new urban projects on the eastern coast. It embodies the concepts of vibrant cities through attractive architectural design and integrated recreational and tourism services, contributing to raising the quality of life and enhancing the region's status as an investment and tourism destination.
The visit also includes field tours of urban and investment projects in Dammam, Khobar, and Jubail, along with meetings with leaders of the Eastern Province Municipality and a group of investors and businessmen from within and outside the Kingdom, aimed at supporting partnerships and enabling the investment environment.
It is worth noting that the Eastern Province is witnessing a rapid developmental movement, led by the municipality in partnership with the public and private sectors, resulting in the investment of over 95% of its assets through more than 5,000 investment contracts, with annual revenues exceeding 2 billion riyals.
