402 Hajj flights departed from Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Medina, carrying pilgrims of various nationalities back to their countries after performing the Hajj rituals this year with ease and safety.

The airport in Medina operated (996) direct international flights to (44) destinations during the post-Hajj season, with the participation of (50) international airlines to transport travelers to their homelands, which included (402) Hajj flights, as part of the regular operational movement witnessed by the airport,

and the services provided to the pilgrims traveling through Medina Airport focus on activating the completion of travel procedures in a short time through the platforms of the sectors operating in the travel halls, and benefiting from the modern technologies available to complete the procedures that the pilgrim goes through from the moment he arrives from his accommodation by bus until he reaches the international departure hall. This includes preparing an area on the eastern side of the airport for the parking of buses transporting the pilgrims, where field teams supervise the reception and transfer of luggage upon the arrival of the pilgrims' buses, utilizing designated carts for luggage loading, and guiding them to three waiting halls designated for departing pilgrims, and promptly completing their travel procedures well before the flight time, which enhances the regularity of the flight departure schedule in a smooth and comfortable manner.

It is worth noting that Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Medina continues to operate departing flights for pilgrims until the end of the air transportation program scheduled at 12 midnight on the 15th of Muharram next month.
