انتهت بلدية محافظة بقيق، من أعمال إعادة التأهيل والتطوير لممشى وحديقة حي المطار، على مساحة تتجاوز 21,000 متر مربع، ضمن موقع حيوي يدمج بين العناصر الجمالية والترفيهية والرياضية، لتوفير بيئة صحية وآمنة تُلبي احتياجات مختلف فئات المجتمع.
ويأتي هذا التطوير استجابة لتطلعات السكان، وضمن جهود البلدية المستمرة في تحسين جودة الحياة، وتحسين المشهد الحضري، بما يتماشى مع مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030 نحو بناء مجتمعات حيوية ومستدامة.
من جهته أوضح رئيس بلدية محافظة بقيق المهندس محمد بن عفتان الظفيري، أن التطوير يتميز بتصميم متكامل يراعي تنوع الاستخدامات، حيث تمت زيادة الرقعة الخضراء على مساحة تزيد على 7300 متر مربع، وتمت زراعة 50 شجرة، وأكثر من 9500 زهرة متنوعة، بطريقة متناسقة تضفي لمسة جمالية على المكان.
وأشار إلى أن التطوير يتضمن ممشى بطول يزيد على 500 متر، بالإضافة إلى منطقة مخصصة لألعاب الأطفال بمساحة 5100 متر مربع، ومرافق مخصصة لألعاب اللياقة البدنية، إلى جانب إضاءة جمالية حديثة تعزز من جمالية الموقع ليلًا، وتم كذلك تجهيز أكثر من 14 منطقة للجلوس تتنوع بين الجلسات الخشبية، والمقاعد الخرسانية، موزعة بعناية حول الحديقة لراحة الزوار.
وأبان المهندس الظفيري بأن ممشى وحديقة حي المطار يُعدان إضافة نوعية لمحافظة بقيق، كونهما يشكّلان متنفسا حضريا مفتوحا يُتيح للسكان ممارسة مختلف الأنشطة الرياضية والترفيهية في أجواء آمنة ومهيأة.
ولفت إلى أن إعادة التأهيل والتطوير يُسهم في تعزيز الصحة العامة واللياقة البدنية، ويدعم البنية الاجتماعية من خلال توفير بيئة مناسبة لممارسة رياضات المشي والجري والأنشطة الترفيهية، بما يتوافق مع أهداف برنامج جودة الحياة.
وقال إن البلدية تسعى من خلال هذه المشاريع النوعية إلى الارتقاء بمستوى الخدمات والمرافق البلدية، وتوسيع نطاق المساحات العامة المفتوحة، بما يسهم في بناء مجتمع أكثر حيوية وصحة، ويعكس طموحات التنمية العمرانية المستدامة التي تنشدها المحافظة في المرحلة القادمة.
The Municipality of Buqayq Governorate has completed the rehabilitation and development works for the walkway and park in the Airport neighborhood, covering an area exceeding 21,000 square meters, within a vital location that integrates aesthetic, recreational, and sports elements, to provide a healthy and safe environment that meets the needs of various community segments.
This development comes in response to the aspirations of residents and as part of the municipality's ongoing efforts to improve the quality of life and enhance the urban landscape, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 towards building vibrant and sustainable communities.
The head of the Buqayq Municipality, Engineer Mohammed bin Iftan Al-Dhafiri, clarified that the development features a comprehensive design that considers the diversity of uses, where the green area has been increased by more than 7,300 square meters, and 50 trees and over 9,500 diverse flowers have been planted in a harmonious manner that adds an aesthetic touch to the place.
He pointed out that the development includes a walkway extending over 500 meters, in addition to an area designated for children's play covering 5,100 square meters, fitness facilities, and modern aesthetic lighting that enhances the beauty of the site at night. More than 14 seating areas have also been prepared, varying between wooden benches and concrete seats, carefully distributed around the park for the comfort of visitors.
Engineer Al-Dhafiri stated that the walkway and park in the Airport neighborhood represent a qualitative addition to Buqayq Governorate, as they form an open urban space that allows residents to engage in various sports and recreational activities in a safe and well-prepared environment.
He noted that the rehabilitation and development contribute to enhancing public health and physical fitness, and support the social fabric by providing a suitable environment for walking, running, and recreational activities, in line with the objectives of the Quality of Life Program.
He said that the municipality aims, through these qualitative projects, to elevate the level of municipal services and facilities, and to expand the scope of open public spaces, contributing to building a more vibrant and healthy community, reflecting the aspirations for sustainable urban development that the governorate seeks in the upcoming phase.
