كشفت وزارة الصناعة والثروة المعدنية تنفيذ 923 جولة ميدانية رقابية على المواقع التعدينية في مختلف مناطق المملكة خلال شهر أبريل الماضي، ضمن خطة إشرافية تقودها وكالة العمليات التعدينية، وذلك في إطار تكثيف جهودها الرقابية لرصد المخالفات وضمان الالتزام بنظام الاستثمار التعديني.
وأسفرت هذه الجولات عن رصد عدد من المخالفات، تم على إثرها توجيه 252 إنذاراً أولياً للمواقع غير الملتزمة بالأنظمة.
وأوضح المتحدث باسم الوزارة جراح بن محمد الجراح، أن الجولات شملت مناطق واسعة، إذ تصدرت المنطقة الشرقية بـ 300 جولة، تلتها منطقة الرياض بـ183 جولة، ثم مكة المكرمة بـ129 جولة، فيما نُفذت 87 جولة في منطقة عسير، و53 في المدينة المنورة، و45 في جازان، و16 في تبوك، و12 في حائل، إضافة إلى 98 جولة أخرى في مناطق متفرقة.
وأكد الجراح أن الوزارة مستمرة في تعزيز الرقابة على الأنشطة التعدينية، للتصدي لأي ممارسات مخالفة، وضمان الاستخدام الأمثل للثروات المعدنية، بما يسهم في استدامة القطاع ودعم المجتمعات المحلية المحيطة بالمواقع.
وتأتي هذه الجهود في إطار التزام الوزارة برفع كفاءة الأداء في قطاع التعدين، وتحقيق مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030، إذ يُعد القطاع من ركائز التنويع الاقتصادي. وتُقدّر القيمة السوقية للثروات المعدنية في المملكة بنحو 9.3 تريليون ريال، موزعة على أكثر من 5,300 موقع تعديني.
The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources revealed that it conducted 923 field monitoring rounds at mining sites across various regions of the Kingdom during the past month of April, as part of a supervisory plan led by the Mining Operations Agency. This is within the framework of intensifying its monitoring efforts to detect violations and ensure compliance with the Mining Investment System.
These rounds resulted in the detection of several violations, which led to the issuance of 252 initial warnings to non-compliant sites.
The ministry's spokesperson, Jirah bin Mohammed Al-Jirah, explained that the rounds covered extensive areas, with the Eastern Province leading with 300 rounds, followed by the Riyadh region with 183 rounds, then Makkah with 129 rounds. Meanwhile, 87 rounds were conducted in the Asir region, 53 in Madinah, 45 in Jazan, 16 in Tabuk, 12 in Hail, in addition to 98 other rounds in various regions.
Al-Jirah confirmed that the ministry continues to enhance oversight of mining activities to address any violations and ensure the optimal use of mineral resources, contributing to the sustainability of the sector and supporting the local communities surrounding the sites.
These efforts come as part of the ministry's commitment to improving performance efficiency in the mining sector and achieving the targets of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, as the sector is considered one of the pillars of economic diversification. The market value of mineral resources in the Kingdom is estimated at around 9.3 trillion riyals, distributed across more than 5,300 mining sites.
