أكدت هيئة الرقابة النووية والإشعاعية، أن مركز عمليات الطوارئ النووية بالهيئة يتابع الأوضاع الإقليمية على مدار الساعة، ويؤكد على أن المستويات الإشعاعية في المملكة في مستوياتها الطبيعية.
وأوضحت الهيئة عبر منصة «X»، أن المركز يعمل على استقراء تداعيات الطوارئ النووية المحتملة على المملكة استباقياً، واتخاذ الإجراءات الوقائية اللازمة لحماية الإنسان والبيئة من الآثار الإشعاعية.
وأشارت الهيئة إلى أن تقنيات تحلية مياه البحر تعمل على إزالة ملوحة المياه وما قد يكون معها من مواد مشعة، ولن يكون هناك آثار في المياه المنتجة، موضحة أن الإجراءات الاستباقية الوقائية تتم بتكثيف مراقبتها.
The Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority confirmed that the Nuclear Emergency Operations Center is monitoring regional conditions around the clock and assures that radiation levels in the Kingdom are at their normal levels.
The Authority clarified via the platform “X” that the center is proactively assessing the potential impacts of nuclear emergencies on the Kingdom and taking necessary precautionary measures to protect humans and the environment from radiological effects.
The Authority pointed out that seawater desalination technologies work to remove the salinity of the water and any radioactive materials that may be present, and there will be no effects in the produced water, explaining that precautionary measures are being intensified through increased monitoring.
