أدانت رابطة العالم الإسلامي -باستنكار شديد- استهداف ميليشيا الحوثي الإرهابية منطقتي مكة المكرمة والمدينة المنورة، بصاروخين باليستيين، سقطت أجزاء منهما لدى اعتراضهما في «وادي المغمّس» بالعاصمة المقدسة، وأجزاء من شظايا الاعتراض على حي النزهة بمحافظة جدة، ووادي جليل بمحافظة الطائف، ومركز مستورة بمحافظة رابغ.
وجاء هذا الاستهداف الآثم منها استمراراً لعدوانها على المملكة العربية السعودية وامتداده إلى الحرمين الشريفين.
وفي بيان للأمانة العامة، أكد الأمين العام للرابطة، رئيس هيئة علماء المسلمين، الشيخ الدكتور محمد بن عبدالكريم العيسى، تنديده بالنهج الإرهابي لجماعة الحوثي، وما تتجرأ به من هجمات تطال حرمة المقدسات، في استفزاز خطر لمشاعر أكثر من ملياري مسلم، وانتهاك سافر لقيم ديننا الحنيف، وأدنى المبادئ الإنسانية، وأفعالها تجسد نهجاً إرهابياً ينتهك الحرمات الدينية والمشاعر الإيمانية والإنسانية، في جرائم إرهابية متتابعة، هي خيانة لهدي الله تعالى ورسوله صلى الله عليه وسلم وللإسلام والمسلمين.
وجدد -باسم مجامع الرابطة وهيئاتها ومجالسها العالمية، وباسم كافة الشعوب الإسلامية المنضوية تحت مظلتها - التأكيد على التضامن الكامل مع المملكة العربية السعودية في كل ما تتخذه من إجراءات لردع إرهاب المعتدين، وصون حرمة المقدسات وأرواح الآمنين، سائلاً الله تعالى أن ينصرها على المجرمين الآثمين، الذين انتهكوا حرمات الدين ومقدسات المسلمين، وأن يحفظها أرضاً وقيادةً وشعباً من كل مكروه.
The Muslim World League condemned -with strong denunciation- the targeting of the holy cities of Mecca and Medina by the terrorist Houthi militia, with two ballistic missiles, parts of which fell during interception in "Wadi Al-Mughmas" in the holy capital, and fragments from the interception fell on the Al-Nuzhah neighborhood in Jeddah, Wadi Jaleel in Taif, and the Masturah center in Rabigh.
This sinful targeting is a continuation of its aggression against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and extends to the two holy mosques.
In a statement from the General Secretariat, the Secretary-General of the League, Chairman of the Muslim Scholars Association, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, expressed his condemnation of the terrorist approach of the Houthi group, and the audacity of their attacks on the sanctity of holy sites, in a dangerous provocation to the feelings of more than two billion Muslims, and a blatant violation of the values of our noble religion and the most basic humanitarian principles. Their actions embody a terrorist approach that violates religious sanctities and the feelings of faith and humanity, in a series of terrorist crimes that betray the guidance of Allah Almighty and His Messenger, peace be upon him, and Islam and Muslims.
He renewed -on behalf of the League's assemblies, its bodies, and its global councils, and on behalf of all the Islamic peoples under its umbrella- the affirmation of full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to deter the terrorism of aggressors, and to safeguard the sanctity of holy sites and the lives of the peaceful. He asked Allah Almighty to grant victory to the Kingdom over the sinful criminals who have violated the sanctities of religion and the holy sites of Muslims, and to protect it, its land, leadership, and people from all harm.
