نظّم المنتدى السعودي للأبنية الخضراء، بالتعاون مع شركاء دوليين، فعالية جانبية رسمية ضمن أعمال المنتدى السياسي رفيع المستوى للتنمية المستدامة (HLPF 2026) في مقر الأمم المتحدة بنيويورك، بعنوان «الاحتفاء بأثر العمل التطوعي: القيادة الشبابية وتعزيز أهداف التنمية المستدامة من خلال العمل المناخي»، بمشاركة ممثلين عن الدول الأعضاء ومنظمات الأمم المتحدة والقطاعين الأكاديمي والخاص والمجتمع المدني.
وأكد الأمين العام للمنتدى المهندس فيصل الفضل، أن مشاركة المملكة تعكس التزامها بدعم العمل متعدد الأطراف وتمكين الشباب وتعزيز العمل التطوعي، بما ينسجم مع مستهدفات رؤية 2030، مشيرًا إلى أهمية الشراكات الدولية وقياس أثر المبادرات التطوعية لتحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة.
وناقشت الجلسة الاستثمار في الشباب، وبناء المهارات، وتطوير مؤشرات لقياس أثر العمل التطوعي، كما استعرضت تجارب دولية، من أبرزها تجربة المملكة في إدارة العمل التطوعي خلال موسم الحج.
واختُتمت الفعالية بالتأكيد على مواصلة المنتدى جهوده في تعزيز الشراكات، وتمكين الشباب والمتطوعين، ودعم الحلول العملية التي تسهم في تسريع تنفيذ أجندة الأمم المتحدة 2030، وتحقيق التنمية المستدامة.
The Saudi Green Building Forum, in collaboration with international partners, organized an official side event as part of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF 2026) at the United Nations headquarters in New York, titled "Celebrating the Impact of Volunteer Work: Youth Leadership and Enhancing Sustainable Development Goals through Climate Action," with the participation of representatives from member states, United Nations organizations, the academic and private sectors, and civil society.
The Secretary-General of the Forum, Engineer Faisal Al-Fadl, affirmed that the Kingdom's participation reflects its commitment to supporting multilateral work, empowering youth, and promoting volunteerism, in line with the targets of Vision 2030, highlighting the importance of international partnerships and measuring the impact of volunteer initiatives to achieve sustainable development goals.
The session discussed investment in youth, skill-building, and developing indicators to measure the impact of volunteer work, as well as showcasing international experiences, notably the Kingdom's experience in managing volunteer work during the Hajj season.
The event concluded with a commitment to continue the Forum's efforts in enhancing partnerships, empowering youth and volunteers, and supporting practical solutions that contribute to accelerating the implementation of the United Nations 2030 Agenda and achieving sustainable development.
