تجدّدت مطالبات أهالي آل يحيى وآل زيدان التابعين لمركز آل زيدان بمحافظة الدائر شرق جازان، بالتدخل العاجل لمعالجة ما وصفوه بـ«التدهور الخطير» في الطريق الرئيسي المؤدي إلى قراهم، وسط ارتفاع معدلات الحوادث وتراجع أعمال الصيانة.
ويأتي ذلك بعد الحادثة المأساوية التي وقعت خلال الفترة الماضية إثر انقلاب مركبة تقل عدداً من المعلمات، وأسفرت عن وفاة 4 منهن في الموقع، إضافة إلى وفاة السائق ومعلمة أخرى أثناء نقلهما إلى المستشفى، ما أعاد ملف الطرق الجبلية المهملة إلى الواجهة وزاد من قلق السكان.
حفر وانهيارات جانبية
الطريق يشهد ارتفاع معدلات الحوادث وتراجع أعمال الصيانة.
وأوضح المواطن سلطان فرحان اليحيوي لـ«عكاظ» أن الطريق الممتد من مفرق السارة وحتى بداية الأسفلت الجديد منتصف عقبة الشايف يعيش تهالكاً متسارعاً، لافتاً إلى أن الحفر والانهيارات الجانبية أصبحت مشهداً يومياً رغم البلاغات المتكررة، التي لا تجد استجابة ميدانية فعلية، مستغرباً إغلاق البلاغات دون معالجة حقيقية، ومؤكداً أن البلاغات تُرفع تحت بند «الطوارئ» فيما يتم إغلاقها دون تدخل فعلي من المقاول أو الجهة المشغّلة للصيانة، وإرفاق رد مع إغلاق البلاغ ليس له علاقة بموضوع البلاغ.
وأضاف أن غياب دوريات سلامة الطرق اليومية أسهم في تفاقم الوضع وتعطل الصيانة الوقائية، محمّلاً الشركة المشغّلة مسؤولية ما وصفه بـ«الخطورة المتنامية»، التي تهدد سالكي الطريق في ظل غياب المتابعة والرصد المستمر.
وأشار اليحيوي إلى أن الطريق يمثل شرياناً مهماً يخدم الأهالي والطلاب والمراكز الصحية والقطاعات الأمنية والعسكرية، مبيناً أن تأخير صيانته في منطقة ذات تضاريس وعرة وحركة مرورية يومية كثيفة يضاعف مستوى الخطورة على مستخدميه.
تأمين مواقع الحوادث
الأهالي طالبوا وزارة النقل والخدمات اللوجستية بالتدخل العاجل لمعالجة الحفر والانهيارات في الطريق الرئيسي.
وفي السياق ذاته، أكد المواطن عيسى علي اليحيوي أن الطرق الترابية الفرعية للأهالي تعاني الإهمال ذاته، لافتاً إلى أن غياب الصيانة الدورية والدوريات الميدانية فاقم من تدهورها، مشدداً على ضرورة توفير فرقة دوريات سلامة طرق ثابتة تعمل على مدار الساعة تغطي جميع الطرق الأسفلتيه والترابية، التي تقع ضمن نطاق مركز آل زيدان، لتتولى رصد الأعطال، ومعالجة الملاحظات فوراً، وتأمين مواقع الحوادث، وتوفير التحذيرات اللازمة لحماية الأهالي ومستخدمي الطريق.
واختتم الأهالي حديثهم لـ«عكاظ» مطالبين وزارة النقل والخدمات اللوجستية بالتدخل العاجل لمعالجة الحفر والانهيارات في الطريق الرئيسي من مفرق السارة وحتى بداية الأسفلت الجديد وصولاً إلى منتصف عقبة الشايف، وتوفير فرقة سلامة طرق ثابتة تخدم نطاق المركز بالكامل، وتشديد أعمال الصيانة الوقائية للطرق الجبلية والأسفلتية والترابية، مع تكثيف المتابعة والرصد للنقاط الخطرة، مؤكدين أن التحرك العاجل بات ضرورة لحماية الأرواح والحد من تكرار الحوادث على هذا الطريق الحيوي.
The demands of the families of Al-Yahya and Al-Zaidan, affiliated with the Al-Zaidan center in the Al-Dayer governorate east of Jazan, have been renewed for urgent intervention to address what they described as a "serious deterioration" in the main road leading to their villages, amidst rising accident rates and declining maintenance work.
This comes after the tragic incident that occurred in the past period due to the overturning of a vehicle carrying several female teachers, resulting in the death of 4 of them at the scene, in addition to the death of the driver and another teacher while being transported to the hospital, which has brought the issue of neglected mountain roads back to the forefront and increased the residents' concerns.
Potholes and Side Collapses

Citizen Sultan Farhan Al-Yahawi explained to "Okaz" that the road extending from the Al-Sarah intersection to the beginning of the new asphalt at the middle of the Shaif slope is experiencing rapid deterioration, pointing out that potholes and side collapses have become a daily sight despite repeated reports, which do not receive actual field responses. He expressed surprise at the closure of reports without real treatment, confirming that reports are raised under the "emergency" category while they are closed without actual intervention from the contractor or the maintenance operating entity, and attaching a response with the closure of the report that is unrelated to the subject of the report.
He added that the absence of daily road safety patrols has contributed to the worsening situation and the disruption of preventive maintenance, holding the operating company responsible for what he described as the "growing danger" that threatens road users in light of the lack of continuous monitoring and oversight.
Al-Yahawi indicated that the road represents an important artery serving residents, students, health centers, and security and military sectors, noting that the delay in its maintenance in an area with rugged terrain and heavy daily traffic multiplies the level of danger for its users.
Securing Accident Sites

In the same context, citizen Isa Ali Al-Yahawi confirmed that the dirt roads for the residents are suffering from the same neglect, pointing out that the absence of regular maintenance and field patrols has exacerbated their deterioration. He emphasized the need to provide a fixed road safety patrol team that operates around the clock to cover all asphalt and dirt roads within the Al-Zaidan center's jurisdiction, to monitor malfunctions, address observations immediately, secure accident sites, and provide necessary warnings to protect residents and road users.
The residents concluded their statements to "Okaz" by demanding the Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services to intervene urgently to address the potholes and collapses in the main road from the Al-Sarah intersection to the beginning of the new asphalt reaching the middle of the Shaif slope, and to provide a fixed road safety team that serves the entire center area, while intensifying preventive maintenance work for mountain, asphalt, and dirt roads, along with increasing monitoring and oversight of dangerous points, affirming that urgent action has become a necessity to protect lives and reduce the recurrence of accidents on this vital road.
