في خطوة جديدة لدعم منظومة ريادة الأعمال والابتكار في المملكة العربية السعودية، أقام مركز ستارت سمارت لريادة الأعمال، التابع لمؤسسة مجتمع جميل الأهلية، 9 جولات تعريفية في 8 من مدن المملكة؛ للتعريف بمسابقة ستارت سمارت 2025، إلى جانب جولة افتراضية عبر منصة زوم، حضرها 266 رائد أعمال من أصحاب الشغف والطموح، وأصحاب المشاريع الصغيرة والمتوسطة، وتهدف هذه الجولات التعريفية إلى الوصول إلى رواد الأعمال في مختلف المناطق وتزويدهم بالمهارات الريادية، وتعريفهم على آليات المشاركة بالمسابقة ومتطلباتها.
انطلقت مسابقة ستارت سمارت منذ عام 2016 بدعم من مؤسسة مجتمع جميل الأهلية، وذلك تحت مسماها السابق «مسابقة منتدى MIT لريادة الأعمال». وتستهدف في نسختها التاسعة رواد الأعمال السعوديين من أصحاب الأفكار الريادية المبتكرة في مراحلها الأولية في مجالات الذكاء الاصطناعي. إذ تسعى لاستقطاب المتقدمين من مختلف مدن ومناطق المملكة، لتتم المشاركة في البرنامج التدريبي المكثف الذي سيمتد لشهرين،
وسترّكز المسابقة في برنامجها التدريبي على تطوير المنتجات التقنية والخدمات التي تعتمد على استخدام تقنيات الذكاء الاصطناعي التي تعالج تحديات واقعية في مجالات مثل الصحة والتعليم والطاقة والخدمات اللوجستية والخدمات الحكومية. ويهدف هذا التوجه إلى تمكين المشاركين من بناء نماذج أولية قابلة للتطبيق التجاري عبر تبني آليات الذكاء الاصطناعي في تحسين جودة الخدمات وزيادة الكفاءة التشغيلية وابتكار منتجات جديدة قادرة على المنافسة في السوق المحلية والعالمية.
سيتم اختيار أفضل 40 فكرة تعالج تحديا فعليا في السوق السعودية، على أن تكون في مرحلة الفكرة أو ما قبل التطوير التقني Pre-MVP. وسينضم أصحاب الأفكار المختارة إلى برنامج تسريع افتراضي لمدة شهرين، يحصلون خلاله على تدريب متخصص في تطوير النماذج الأولية، وتجهيز خطط دخول السوق، وتطوير المنتجات، إضافة إلى جلسات إرشاد فردية يقدمها خبراء محليون ودوليون، تمكنهم من اختبار نماذج أعمالهم والتأكد من قابليتها للتطبيق، إضافة إلى تطوير مهاراتهم في الجوانب التشغيلية وينتهي بدخولهم إلى السوق التجارية بمنتج قابل للبيع. كما يهدف هذا البرنامج إلى رفع جاهزية المشاركين لعرض مشاريعهم أمام المستثمرين في يوم العروض النهائية. كما ستُمنح في نهاية المسابقة جوائز مالية قيمة مجموعها 100000 ريال سعودي لأفضل 3 أفكار ريادية لمساعدتهم في دخول السوق وتطوير مشاريعهم أكثر.
وفي هذا السياق، قالت عضو مجلس إدارة مؤسسة مجتمع جميل الأهلية الدكتورة مي طيبة: «تعكس النسخة التاسعة من المسابقة التزام مركز ستارت سمارت بتعزيز التنمية الاقتصادية ومساهمته في تحقيق مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030، من خلال برامجه المختلفة الهادفة إلى رفع مساهمة المنشآت الصغيرة والمتوسطة في الاقتصاد الوطني، وتنمية الاقتصاد الرقمي، وخلق فرص اقتصادية نوعية للشباب السعودي، وقد بلغ عدد المستفيدين من المسابقة منذ انطلاقها ما يزيد على 10500 مستفيد وبقيمة جوائز مليونين و400 ألف ريال». وأضاف المدير العام الأول للمبادرات الاجتماعية وريادة الأعمال بمؤسسة مجتمع جميل الأهلية محمد عبدالغفار: «يسعدنا إطلاق مسابقة ستارت سمارت 2025، التي تمثل خطوة إضافية في مسارنا لخلق منظومة مستدامة تدعم الابتكار وتوسع آفاق الشباب السعودي في ريادة الأعمال التقنية. ولا تقتصر هذه المسابقة على كونها مجرد برنامج تدريبي فحسب، بل هي منصة متكاملة تسعى إلى بناء شركات ناشئة قادرة على المنافسة محليا ودوليا، بما ينسجم مع تطلعات وأهداف رؤية المملكة 2030».

In a new step to support the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Start Smart Entrepreneurship Center, affiliated with the Community Jameel Foundation, held 9 introductory rounds in 8 cities across the Kingdom; to introduce the Start Smart 2025 competition, alongside a virtual round via Zoom, attended by 266 passionate and ambitious entrepreneurs, as well as small and medium-sized business owners. These introductory rounds aim to reach entrepreneurs in various regions and equip them with entrepreneurial skills, while also informing them about the mechanisms for participating in the competition and its requirements.
The Start Smart competition was launched in 2016 with the support of the Community Jameel Foundation, under its previous name "MIT Entrepreneurship Forum Competition." In its ninth edition, it targets Saudi entrepreneurs with innovative entrepreneurial ideas in their early stages in the fields of artificial intelligence. It seeks to attract applicants from various cities and regions of the Kingdom to participate in an intensive training program that will last for two months,
and the competition will focus in its training program on developing technological products and services that utilize artificial intelligence techniques to address real challenges in fields such as health, education, energy, logistics, and government services. This approach aims to empower participants to build commercially viable prototypes by adopting artificial intelligence mechanisms to improve service quality, increase operational efficiency, and innovate new products capable of competing in local and global markets.
The best 40 ideas addressing a real challenge in the Saudi market will be selected, provided they are at the idea stage or pre-technical development (Pre-MVP). The owners of the selected ideas will join a two-month virtual acceleration program, during which they will receive specialized training in prototype development, market entry planning, and product development, in addition to individual mentoring sessions provided by local and international experts, enabling them to test their business models and ensure their viability, as well as develop their skills in operational aspects, culminating in their entry into the commercial market with a sellable product. This program also aims to prepare participants to present their projects to investors on the final pitch day. Additionally, valuable cash prizes totaling 100,000 Saudi Riyals will be awarded at the end of the competition to the top 3 entrepreneurial ideas to assist them in entering the market and further developing their projects.
In this context, Dr. Mai Tayeb, a board member of the Community Jameel Foundation, stated: "The ninth edition of the competition reflects the Start Smart Center's commitment to enhancing economic development and its contribution to achieving the targets of Saudi Vision 2030, through its various programs aimed at increasing the contribution of small and medium enterprises to the national economy, developing the digital economy, and creating quality economic opportunities for Saudi youth. Since its launch, the competition has benefited more than 10,500 beneficiaries, with a total prize value of 2.4 million Riyals." The Senior Director of Social Initiatives and Entrepreneurship at the Community Jameel Foundation, Mohammed Abdulghafar, added: "We are pleased to launch the Start Smart 2025 competition, which represents an additional step in our path to creating a sustainable ecosystem that supports innovation and expands the horizons of Saudi youth in technological entrepreneurship.
