حافظت السعودية على المرتبة الأولى عالميًا في مؤشر الأمن السيبراني، وذلك ضمن تقرير الكتاب السنوي للتنافسية العالمية لعام 2025، الصادر عن مركز التنافسية العالمي التابع للمعهد الدولي للتنمية الإدارية (IMD) بسويسرا.
ورفع وزير الدولة عضو مجلس الوزراء رئيس مجلس إدارة الهيئة الوطنية للأمن السيبراني الدكتور مساعد العيبان، باسمه واسم أعضاء مجلس إدارة الهيئة وجميع منسوبيها، الشكر لخادم الحرمين الشريفين وولي العهد على الدعم والتوجيهات الحكيمة والمتابعة المستمرة التي يحظى بها قطاع الأمن السيبراني في المملكة، وجعلته يتبوأ مراتب متقدمة على مدى سنوات متتالية في مختلف المؤشرات الدولية؛ ومنها تصنيف المملكة أنموذجًا رائدًا في الفئة الأعلى (Role-Model) للمؤشر العالمي للأمن السيبراني 2024، الصادر عن منظمة الأمم المتحدة عبر وكالتها المتخصصة الـ(ITU).
وقال إن الإنجاز يُضاف إلى سلسلة الإنجازات والنجاحات التي تسطرها المملكة في جميع المجالات منذ إطلاق الرؤية الاستباقية الثاقبة للقيادة في تأسيس قطاع الأمن السيبراني في المملكة على نحو شمولي بشقيه الأمني والتنموي وبمختلف أبعاده المحلية والدولية، حتى شهدت منظومة الأمن السيبراني تطورًا كبيرًا في زمن قياسي منذ إنشاء الهيئة الوطنية للأمن السيبراني بصفتها الجهة المختصة في المملكة بالأمن السيبراني، والمرجع الوطني في شؤونه، وإنشاء الشركة السعودية لتقنية المعلومات (سايت) كشريكها الإستراتيجي والتقني، وهما ركيزتان أساسيتان في النموذج السعودي للأمن السيبراني الذي أسهمت مخرجاته في تعزيز الأمن السيبراني الوطني والسيادة التقنية، وتوطين التقنيات ذات الأولوية، وتعزيز مشاركة المعلومات وأعمال التعاون الدولي.
وتُعد الهيئة الوطنية للأمن السيبراني الجهة المختصة بالأمن السيبراني في المملكة، والمرجع الوطني في شؤونه، وتهدف إلى تعزيزه حماية للمصالح الحيوية والبنى التحتية للدولة وأمنها الوطني، وتختص بتحفيز نمو قطاع الأمن السيبراني في المملكة، وتشجيع الابتكار والاستثمار فيه، ووضع السياسات وآليات الحوكمة والأطر والمعايير والضوابط والإرشادات المتعلقة بالأمن السيبراني؛ للوصول إلى فضاء سيبراني سعودي آمن وموثوق يمكّن النمو والازدهار.
Saudi Arabia has maintained its position as the world's top country in the Cybersecurity Index, according to the Global Competitiveness Yearbook 2025, published by the Global Competitiveness Center of the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Switzerland.
The Minister of State, Member of the Council of Ministers, and Chairman of the National Cybersecurity Authority, Dr. Musaed Al-Aiban, expressed his gratitude, on behalf of himself, the board members, and all its employees, to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince for their support, wise directives, and continuous follow-up that the cybersecurity sector in the Kingdom receives, which has enabled it to achieve advanced rankings over consecutive years in various international indicators; including the classification of the Kingdom as a leading model in the highest category (Role-Model) for the Global Cybersecurity Index 2024, issued by the United Nations through its specialized agency, the ITU.
He stated that this achievement adds to the series of accomplishments and successes that the Kingdom has recorded in all fields since the launch of the visionary leadership's proactive vision in establishing the cybersecurity sector in the Kingdom comprehensively, in both its security and developmental aspects, and across various local and international dimensions. The cybersecurity system has witnessed significant development in record time since the establishment of the National Cybersecurity Authority as the competent authority in the Kingdom for cybersecurity and the national reference for its affairs, and the establishment of the Saudi Company for Information Technology (SAIT) as its strategic and technical partner. These are two fundamental pillars in the Saudi model for cybersecurity, whose outcomes have contributed to enhancing national cybersecurity and technological sovereignty, localizing priority technologies, and promoting information sharing and international cooperation.
The National Cybersecurity Authority is the competent authority for cybersecurity in the Kingdom and the national reference for its affairs. It aims to enhance protection for vital interests and the state's infrastructure and national security. It is responsible for stimulating the growth of the cybersecurity sector in the Kingdom, encouraging innovation and investment in it, and establishing policies, governance mechanisms, frameworks, standards, controls, and guidelines related to cybersecurity; to achieve a secure and reliable Saudi cyberspace that enables growth and prosperity.
